Ethos POV:

Time passed by. Everything was amazing, mainly cause me and Joel spent a lot of time together. Sadly, his dad still hated the idea of me dating a guy. It was the last day of school. I went over to Joels house to pick him up, like always. His dad always woke up early so it was fine. I knocked on the door. Jimmy immediately opened it and greeted me. I went upstairs to talk to Joel.

"Hey!! U ready?" I smiled as I pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheek. He nodded and grabbed his bag, pulling my hand and dragging me down the stairs. He waved goodbye to his brother and then we headed out. "Uh Etho.." Joel started a conversation while walking. "Mhm? Anything bothering u?" I turned towards him. "Yeah well.. my dad wants to send me to some religious camp. I dont know if we will be able to hang out." his eyes darkened at the thought.

"Oh Joel dont-.. dont worry, we'll figure something out. Do u perhaps know where its gonna be?" I hugged him, trying to make both of us feel better. "Some mountain. I really dont wanna go what if-" I could see his eyes tearing up. I stopped walking and cupped his face with my free hand. "No please Joel its gonna be fine.. everything is gonna be fine, we will find a way to see each other! Plus the summer break is not that long and after that we will have the whole school year to ourselv-" "He wants me to live there."

"WHAT?" I half shouted. "Theres no way he can be serious! Does ur mom know??!" I continued. "She doesnt care." he sighed. "Look, maybe in a few years when I get older I can come back and.." "Few YEARS?? Are u crazy!? Im gonna talk to ur father, that son of a bit-" my head was such a mess I couldnt even think straight. "Stop! Its fine! Im gonna talk to him. Plus I cant just leave Jimmy with his psycho ass." Joel assured me, smiling sadly at me.

The day went by. I walked Joel to his house but didnt dare to go inside since his father was probably there. "Ur gonna talk to him right? Let me know what happens. I love you, Joel." I leaned over and gently kissed his lips. As we pulled away he mumbled a slight 'I love you too'. I said goodbye and headed home.

As I walked in I shouted a quick "Hey mooom!" just to see my sister standing in front of me. "Gem!! What are u doing here, oh my void, I haven't seen u in forever!" I smiled and hugged the red haired girl. "Awhh poor baby Etho missed me!" she giggled. "Ur younger than me, dumbo!" I teased back. "How are uuu? What have u been up to? Hows Joel~" she grabbed my hand and pulled me into the living room, making me sit down on the sofa.

"Im fine.. a little shaken from earlier though. Joels dad is sending him to some camp. Hes gonna try talking to him but I dont know if it will work. If he goes to that place I doubt we will see each other any time soon." I sighed. "Oh.. why not just invite Joel to live with u and mom? She wouldnt mind! Plus I'd love to finally meet him." Gem comforted me.

"Oh thats a good idea. But I dont know how he will leave his brother behind. Jimmys still uh..13, something like that." "Well um.. their mom could just take Jimmy with her. Surely shes not THAT careless.." my sister had a point. "Thanks, I'll talk to him about that." I smiled and went upstairs to see if Joel had texted me.

Nothing. I dialed his number. Voicemail. 'Oh shit.'

I must have fallen asleep since I woke up to moms gentle voice. "Etho.. wake up, Joels here." I immediately opened my eyes as I heard my boyfriends name. He was standing next to the open door with 5 bags on his shoulders and in his arms. He dropped them all on the ground and ran over to me.

"Etho! I can move in with u! My dad kicked me out.. kinda, not really but!" he grinned at me. I was still half asleep, trying to process the news. "Wai- WOW WHAT!? Thats amazing, oh my void, are u for real!?" he nodded. "Ur mom is totally fine with it! I heard theres a free room which I can use." Joels smile was even brighter now. I just pulled him into a hug. Then turned to mom and hugged her as well, whispering a slight 'thank u so much'.
