The plan was set. Wednesday was the perfect day—Faye wouldn't suspect a thing since Orm usually stayed out late with her friends or crashed at Prig's place. The cover was flawless, giving them all the time they needed to drive to the south side of the city and execute their scheme.

Orm slipped out of the house early, well before anyone else was awake. The maid mentioned her sudden departure to Faye, who raised an eyebrow in suspicion. But before she could delve into it, Yoko cleverly distracted her, shrugging it off as nothing out of the ordinary. Faye reluctantly let it go, though the thought lingered in her mind.

Meanwhile, in Prig's car, the three girls were in high spirits. Music blasted through the speakers as they sped down the highway, the excitement in the air almost tangible.

As they neared the south side, the atmosphere in the car shifted. They all knew this part of the city had a reputation—one that Faye had drilled into Orm's head since childhood. But as they drove through the streets, they were met with a surprising normalcy. People walked their dogs, shopped at local stores, and the area seemed far from the ghetto they had imagined.

Prig, let out a disappointed sigh. "Is it just me, or is this place not the hellhole Faye made it out to be? I even brought a bat, just in case!"

May cracked up at the sight of Prig's bat. "Girl, this is a regular city, not some dystopian wasteland! You should know, Fay's been sending me vids about this place forever. It's not that bad."

Orm chuckled but stayed quiet, her eyes glued to the road ahead. The towering structure of FB Central Hospital loomed in the distance, and her heart began to race with anticipation. The plan was simple: get inside, feign sickness, and have Fay pull some strings to get her in front of Doctor Ling. Easy enough.

Orm waited for Fay to come in the main reception so they can start their act.

As Fay reached playing the concerned friend as Orm acted dizzy and unwell. They reached the room where Ling was supposed to be, and Fay knocked before pushing the door open.

Inside, Doctor Ling stood, focused on her paperwork, her white coat a sharp contrast against the dark interior of the room. Orm's breath hitched as she took in Ling's appearance—she was even more striking in person, with the harsh fluorescent lights highlighting every chiseled feature.

"Doctor Ling," Fay called out, her voice steady, "I need your help with my friend here. She's feeling really dizzy and nauseous, and I'm not sure how to handle it."

Ling barely looked up from her clipboard, her tone cool and professional. "Bring her in."

Orm stumbled into the room, playing her part well, though in reality, her dizziness was more from the proximity to Ling than from any fake illness. Ling approached her with clinical detachment.

"So, what seems to be the problem?" Ling asked, finally meeting Orm's gaze with a neutral expression.
