Yoko was slowly wandering through the boutique, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts. Elissa, her sweet little girl, was happily munching on her waffle beside her. But Yoko wasn't fully there—her mind was replaying her fight with Faye, and she was muttering under her breath.
"Why does she act like a child all the time! So damn stubborn sometimes," Yoko mumbled, flipping through the racks absentmindedly. "She doesn't know when to stop, and I—"
As Yoko absentmindedly flipped through another rack of clothes, she heard a gentle voice near her. "Here, sweetheart, use this," the voice said softly.
Yoko's head snapped up. She turned quickly and saw a woman kneeling next to Elissa, offering her a wipe. The woman gently dabbed at the chocolate smeared all over Elissa's cheeks, smiling warmly at the little girl.
Kneeling down beside her daughter, Yoko quickly apologized, her voice soft but frazzled. "Oh, sweetheart, I'm so sorry! Mommy wasn't paying attention." her face flushed with embarrassment.
The woman waved her hand dismissively, still smiling. "Don't worry about it," she said, handing Yoko another wipe. "It happens. Kids and chocolate are a messy combination."
Yoko, still flustered, took the wipe and carefully cleaned off the rest of Elissa's face. "Thank you so much," she said, standing up and giving the woman a grateful smile.
The woman took a sip of her coffee, looking relaxed and friendly. "No problem," she said, then extended her hand. "I'm Becky. Becky Armstrong."
Yoko blinked for a moment before shaking her hand, her own smile softening. "Yoko Malisorn," she introduced herself, then gestured toward her daughter. "And this little one is Elissa. Say thank you to the nice lady, baby."
Elissa, her face now free of chocolate, smiled shyly and gave a soft "Thank you."
Becky's smile widened as she almost choked on her sip of coffee, catching the surname. "Malisorn?" she repeated, more to herself than anyone else, trying not to laugh at the sheer coincidence. She grinned mischievously, thinking, What a small world...
Becky raised an eyebrow playfully, leaning in slightly. "So... I guess Lingling's already at your place, huh?"
Yoko blinked, surprised. "Wait, you know Lingling?"
Becky chuckled, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Oh, yeah. Best friends, actually. Been through thick and thin together."
Yoko's eyes widened with a mix of surprise and curiosity. "Wow, what are the odds. It's really nice meeting you"
