Lux walked into Faye's office, raising an eyebrow at the cracked window and the chair that had been knocked over. The usually pristine room looked as if a storm had passed through. She strolled to the desk, taking a seat opposite Faye, who was still fuming with her arms crossed tightly.
"Looks like someone got a little too close to losing their head," Lux remarked, her eyebrow quirking as she scanned the damage.
Faye barely lifted her eyes, the vein pulsing in her temple a clear indicator of how hard she was trying to rein in her fury. "They better fucking pay for that window," she muttered darkly, each word clipped with precision. Her tone was ice-cold, yet her fingers trembled slightly from the encounter with Kwong.
Lux tapped her nails on the desk, eyeing Faye's tense posture. She let the silence linger for a moment, as if letting her companion gather herself before speaking again. "There's something off about this whole thing, Faye. Every time the South side works in favor of us, no questions asked. That Becky handled things with us smoothly, even when it was against their interests. But Kwong? The way she reacted? That was... normal. Almost too normal."
Faye glared at the cracked window, her fingers drumming against her arm. She didn't like where this conversation was heading. "Maybe they're just scared of us," she bit out, still visibly seething.
Lux scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief. "Scared of us?" She leaned forward, her voice lowering into a more serious tone. "Please. You don't know them well. They don't get scared, Faye. We should be the ones worried."
Faye's silence was louder than words.
" I never want see her near here my territory ever again" Faye warned.

Meanwhile, at Freen's office, Lingling stormed in like a hurricane, her heels echoing sharply against the tiled floor. Becky was already there, hunched over the desk, going through some papers. Freen glanced up briefly from her computer, but before she could say a word, Ling ripped the earpiece from her ear and threw it onto Freen's desk. It clattered loudly, an unmistakable sign of her rage.
"Who the fuck is that Faye Malisorn that you're letting her control us like we're some kind of lapdogs?" Ling's voice was venomous, her eyes ablaze with frustration.
Freen leaned back in her chair, calm as ever, though the tension in the room skyrocketed. Becky straightened up, glancing between the two, sensing the impending storm. She sighed, trying to defuse the tension. "Ling, just breathe. This was a calculated move. We—"
"Calculated move?" Ling snapped, cutting Becky off mid-sentence. "Calculated for who? For us, or for that douchebag?" She pointed angrily towards the direction of Faye's building as if she could still see it. Freen tried not get up and punch her best friend on the spot.
"You've got me walking into meetings I'm not briefed on, letting her pull strings like we're her fucking puppets." Ling continued
Freen crossed her arms, her expression stoic as she met Ling's eyes. "Our priority," she said, her voice calm but firm, "is ensuring security."
