The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as family and friends gathered for Orm's graduation ceremony. The sun shone brightly, casting a warm glow over the outdoor stage where graduates sat eagerly, waiting for their names to be called.
Among the throng of proud family members seated in the front rows, Faye and Yoko held a bouquet of vibrant flowers, cheering enthusiastically.
Freen and Becky flanked them, clapping and shouting words of encouragement.
"Come on, let's hear it for Orm!" Freen yelled, her voice ringing out above the applause.
"Yeah! Go, Orm!" Becky added, waving her arms as if trying to get Orm's attention.
But amidst the cheers and laughter, one crucial person was missing, Lingling.
Orm's beloved wife, was in the middle of a lengthy surgery and couldn't make it to the graduation.
Despite the excitement in the air, Orm felt a pang of disappointment. She missed Lingling fiercely and couldn't shake the sadness that accompanied the thought that her wife was absent on such a monumental day.
Once the ceremony ended, Orm darted toward her family, her heart swelling with pride.
She enveloped Faye in a tight hug, relishing the moment. Faye was doing her best to hold back tears, a lump forming in her throat.
Orm pulled back slightly, smirking, "Is she seriously crying?"
Freen laughed, chiming in, "Almost!...........God, now she really is!"
With a gentle pat on Faye's back, Orm teased, "Come on, Faye! I'm just graduating! I thought you were out of tears after all that sobbing at my wedding!"
Faye leaned down, planting a kiss on the top of Orm's head. "I'm proud of you, princess."
Orm playfully stuck her tongue out, then moved on to hug the rest of her family. "Seriously, you can't cry at every occasion! We're past all this, sis!"
