The evening sun dipped below the horizon as Fay barged into the house, her energy buzzing with excitement. She found Orm lounging on the couch next to Milk and Prig, flipping through channels.

"You won't believe what just happened," Fay practically shouted, rushing over and sitting beside Orm. "Guess who asked for your number?"

Orm, maintaining her aloof demeanor, raised an eyebrow, her voice as nonchalant as she could muster. "Who? The pizza guy?"

Fay rolled her eyes, nudging Orm's shoulder. "No, you brat! Ling. Dr. Lingling Kwong. The doctor who you've been obsessing over for months!"

Orm's heart skipped a beat, but she kept her face neutral, shrugging. "Oh. Her. I'm not that interested anymore."

The three friends turned looking at her 'Really?!' look.

"Girl she's lying" Milk narrowed her eyes, clearly unconvinced. "Because I remember someone stalking her in the hospital lobby with a bento box just last week."

Orm rolled her eyes, her tone casual. "Well, maybe I've moved on. She took her sweet time."

Despite her cool front, Orm felt a mix of excitement and frustration bubbling inside. She had been waiting for some sort of contact, but five days had passed and nothing. It stung more than she wanted to admit.

Milk pushed her playfully"You're lying, Orm. I know you're secretly freaking out," she teased,

Fay continued telling them"You should've seen Ling's face when she asked for your number. She was awkward as hell. Like, super awkward."

Orm's mask of indifference cracked for a split second before she regained her composure.

Orm sat at the dining table, eyes glued to her phone screen. She tapped her fingers anxiously, checking for a message—*any message*—from Ling. It had been five days since she'd given the doctor her number, and still, nothing. Her mood had soured, and the usual dinner chatter between her sister Faye and her wife Yoko only irritated her more tonight.

Across the table, Faye and Yoko were as sweet as ever, laughing and whispering to each other between bites of food. Faye had her hand resting casually on Yoko's knee, a soft smile on her face as she listened intently to whatever Yoko was saying.

"You know," Faye said, her voice low and teasing, "if you keep looking at me like that, we might have to skip dessert."

Yoko chuckled, her eyes twinkling with affection. "Oh? And here I thought I was dessert."

Faye grinned, clearly enjoying their banter. She reached under the table, placing her hand gently on Yoko's thigh. "You're right about that," she whispered, her tone dropping just enough to send a shiver through Yoko. "But I might not be able to wait until after dinner."

Yoko giggled softly, nudging Faye with her elbow. "You're terrible, you know that?"

"Terribly in love with you, yes," She quipped, her eyes never leaving Yoko's. She moved her hand from Yoko's thigh to gently trace the curve of her arm, sending tiny sparks of electricity with each touch.

Orm, sitting across from them, groaned internally as she picked at her food. The way Faye and Yoko flirted was so extra. She knew her sister was a romantic, but this was getting ridiculous. Can't they keep it to themselves for once? she thought, rolling her eyes as she stabbed her fork into her mashed potatoes.

Yoko playfully swatted Faye's hand away, though her laughter gave her away. "We're at the dinner table, baby," she said, trying to sound serious but failing miserably. "Behave."
