Faye paced back and forth in the living room, her sharp footsteps echoing through the house. Her brows were knitted tightly, and her lips formed a thin, disapproving line. Yoko, who had already grown tired of her wife's foul mood all week, chose not to intervene. Instead, she sat on the floor doing their daughter's homework, colouring a spaceship.

Every now and then, Yoko would glance up at Faye, silently wishing the storm would pass soon.

Orm arrived home in her usual carefree manner, humming a cheerful tune as she walked in with her two closest friends, Prig and May. They had plans to hang out at Orm's place, grab dinner, and maybe watch a movie. But as soon as Orm stepped into the living room, her steps faltered. Faye was pacing.

Orm immediately gulped, her lighthearted mood vanishing in an instant. Faye's pacing was never a good sign. It only ever meant one thing: something had happened, and Faye was pissed.

Prig and May, still joking with each other, hadn't yet noticed the tension. But when they saw Orm's expression shift, their own smiles faded. Orm quickly looked at them, fear evident in her eyes. Her sister was not someone to cross, especially not when she was already in a mood like this.

Faye turned her gaze toward them, her eyes narrowing as they entered the room. The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife.

"Great," Faye said, her voice dangerously calm. "God brings you all to me at once."

She crossed her arms, her eyes burning with disapproval as she motioned for them to sit down. Her tone left no room for argument. The girls hesitated for a moment before quietly sitting on the couch, exchanging nervous glances. None of them dared to speak.

Faye's mere presence was imposing, and when she was angry, she was terrifying. She rarely got this angry, but when she did, it was usually for a very good reason.

"Three times," Faye said, her voice cutting through the silence like a whip. "You've all gone to the south side three times."

Orm stiffened in her seat, her heart dropping into her stomach. How did Faye know that? Her mind raced, trying to figure out how this information had reached her sister.

"That place," Faye continued, "is strictly off-limits. You know that. It's dangerous. It's forbidden." She paused, her eyes sweeping across the three of them. "But what did you all decide to do? You went there. Three times."

Orm's throat went dry. She shifted nervously in her seat, glancing at Prig and May. Both of them looked just as anxious, neither daring to meet Faye's gaze. The room felt stifling.

Faye crossed her arms, her posture rigid with frustration. "Do you have any idea what could've happened to you there? That place is a hotspot for crime, illegal activities, and god knows what else. And you three thought it was a good idea to explore it?"

The girls remained silent, their heads hanging low. None of them dared to speak. Faye's anger was palpable, and they all knew better than to argue.
