Kim Taehyung, The king of Eldoria, An ordinary human.
Kim Taehyung stood in front of the tall window of his royal chamber. The moon glowing upon the sky, trying to fade the darkness lurking around. A deep sigh escaped his lips, the heaviness of his chest seemed to increased even further ever since, he wore the crown as a new young king of Eldoria.
However, the people of Eldoria hesitated to show their faith on him. It wasn't the matter of the fact of being twenty, but the plague that took over the people of Velaris.
Over the past ten years, a mysterious illness swallowed countless lives. The people, desperate for answers, began to believe that the sickness was not a natural plague but a curse cast by Roohyang. Years ago, they had forbid her , forcing her to leave the city in disgrace.
Now, whispers spread through the streets, with the elders insisting that only Roohyang or someone from her bloodline could lift the curse and bring an end to the suffering. Fear and guilt gripped the hearts of the people, as they feared they had brought this fate upon themselves by wronging her.
The assumption of being cursed by Roohyang, transferred into the strong myth when about a year ago the previous king of Eldoria, Kim Haejon died after being caught by the mysterious illness.
Ever since all the governors of the royal courtyard, each presenting their city, were debating on the fact of seeking help from Roohyang. However, the governors were split in two teams, half ones were desperate to search for Roohyang, as after approaching many physicians, the illness was a puzzle that nobody could've solved. Whilst the half one were afraid of Roohyang and her aim of avenge them.
"Your majesty! It's time to head towards the courtyard." Said Rian, his loyal servant.
Taehyung inhaled the cold breeze, he thought for a moment then slightly turned back, "I'm nervous about the decision I made." He said in his deep voice.
"I don't know what decision you made, your majesty! but I can surely say it would be a beneficial deal for the people of Velaris." Rian assured.
Taehyung nodded, he turned his head again towards the window, " I'm sure father would be angry on me." He said, "He sacrificed his life to the illness but denied to seek help from Roohyang." His voice trembled.
"It would bring him a great shame to the late king, as you know how much he loathed Roohyang and the people of north." Rian answered, although his words were bitter but it was a truth Taehyung couldn't deny, "But at the moment you need to think vise."
Taehyung closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to steady himself. He knew that once he announced his decision today, many people would hate him. But he had made up his mind, this choice was for the sake of his people, and that gave him the strength to move forward. Determination settled in his heart, pushing aside the fear of being despised. This was his burden to bear, and he was ready.
"Alright." Taehyung turned back, he suddenly looked calmed and organized, "let's go." He said.

The grand doors of the royal courtyard creaked as they swung open, revealing a long hall adorned with banners and lit by the soft glow of torches. The air seemed thick with the intense silence, as the governors of Eldoria waited, their eyes fixed on the entrance.
A courtier, dressed in finely embroidered robes, stepped forward and announced in a clear, ringing voice, "His Majesty, King Taehyung of Eldoria!"
At once, the governors, who had been seated on wooden benches along the walls, rose to their feet. Taehyung entered, clad in his royal black embroidered robe, his furry cloak trailing behind him.
One by one the governors dropped to on their knees. Each governor placed a hand on the cool stone floor, bowing their heads low until their foreheads nearly touched their knuckles, a gesture of deep respect and loyalty.
The only sound in the chamber was the rustling of fabric as the men knelt before their king. The flickering torchlight cast long shadows, adding an air of solemnity to the scene.
Taehyung paused for a moment at the entrance, his gaze sweeping over the assembly. He was too young for this much respect, he believed. His expression was calm, though his heart weighed heavy with the decision he was about to announce.
Slowly, Taehyung began to walk down the center of the hall, his footsteps echoing against the stone walls. The governors remained bowed, not daring to rise until their king permitted it. Taehyung's presence was commanding, long braided hair, and handsome face that attracted everyone's attention on him.
As Taehyung reached the center of the courtyard, he stopped, raised his hand, a simple but powerful gesture. The governors, sensing his command, slowly lifted their heads and stood, their eyes filled with a mixture of respect and anticipation. The room was thick with unspoken questions, each man waiting for the king's words, knowing that what he would say next could change the fate of Eldoria.
Taehyung adjusted himself at his throne, his face serene, he could hear his each heartbeat thudding loudly in his chest, as he observed the desperation wandering on everyone's face.
