The courtyard erupted in chaos. The other governors began to whisper furiously among themselves, their faces pale with shock and fear. The revelation sent ripples of panic through the room. Some tried to distance themselves from the accused man, while others simply stared in disbelief.

Jimin, standing to the side, felt a surge of relief, as nobody could deny that he had been telling the truth all along. The evidence was right there for all to see. But still, this wasn’t over. Not yet.

Taehyung stepped forward, closing the distance between himself and the old man. The sharp tip of his sword barely touched the governor's throat, but it was enough to make the man tremble.

“Do you deny it now?” Taehyung’s voice was cold, devoid of any warmth. His anger had reached its peak, but he kept it under tight control, waiting for the governor’s response.

“I-I...” the man stuttered, his voice barely above a whisper. His eyes darted from Jimin to Taehyung, desperate for a way out. But there was none. “I didn’t mean... it wasn’t supposed to...”

“You were trying to kill me,” Taehyung finished for him, his tone icy. “You knew the poison would be slow enough that no one would notice until it was too late. You thought you could silence me before anyone realized what had happened.”

The governor shook his head frantically. “No! Your majesty, please... I...I apologize for my silly mistake, I was wrong.... prison me, but please forgive this old sinister man." The old man apologized, as he knelt down Taehyung and placed his head in the floor.

However, Taehyung wasn't in a mood to forgive the old man, "Stand up." He commanded.

The old man stood up, his legs trembling, he continued to cry as if he was a victim himself.

"If I forgive you then, anyone would dare to kill me again, so you deserve a cruel punishment." Taehyung announced.

" Please forgive me, You majesty I won't repeat my mistake." The old man begged for his life.

"Of course, you would never repeat your mistake, because you won't be alive after this night." With his last word, Taehyung sliced the old man's neck through his sword, the sharp blade tore the flesh and a pool of blood splashed out from the neck. The old man stumbled on the floor, writhing agonizingly as the life slowly drenched out of him.

The other governors widened their eyes, as well as Namjoon. The old man now loosened his life, his eyes staring at the ceiling, everyone looked frightened at the unexpected act of Taehyung, who stood like firmly at his spot, glaring at the lifeless body of the old man.

"Hung his body in front of the castle and let everyone know that if anyone would dare to harm me, then he or she will face the same consequences, and then threw his body to the forest." Taehyung commanded, he shifted his eyes towards Jimin, and in a clusters of his enemies, Jimin was the only person who seemed honest ams loyal with him.

"Since you have protected me, so you can ask for any rewards." Taehyung said, he then exhaled a long breath as he waited for Jimin's reply.

Jimin's heartbeat grew wilder, it was the opportunity to survive, he recalled Tiara's word in his mind, "You have to make him want you, you have to become his biggest strength and weakness at the same time."

A long breath escaped from his plumpy lips, "Would you give me anything?" He asked again.

Taehyung nodded his head in agreement, "I give you my words."

Jimin chewed his Lowe lip, "Alright, then marry me, and make me an official citizen of Verasil." He demanded confidently.

Taehyung looked at Jimin in utter bewilderment, he opened his mouth to protested but suddenly he recalled one of the rule of the rule book.

"When a powerful or a royal citizen marry any creature of north, then he or she would become an official citizen of Velaris, and nobody would have authority to harm that person."

It was a rule that the folks of Velaris had forgotten, but the rule still existed. Jimin decided to used that opportunity, as his mother had taught him about the rules of Velaris, she learned much later. Unaware the importance of those teaching at that time, Jimin now realized that each word his mother had told to him, had a reason on its own.
