Jimin's curious gaze fixed at Taehyung, nervousness wandering over his handsome face. His heart beat loud as a drum, he stepped back and looked away from Jimin, who sat on the bed in utter confusion.

"Why you're here at this hour?" Asked Jimin, his eyebrows frowned.

"Why I can't be here?, I owned this place." Taehyung replied, he raised his hands and flexed the basket he brought with himself, "I heard you refused to eat and take any treatment so I've decided to win you trust." He said.

Taehyung walked over to the table in the corner of the room. He carefully set down the basket he was carrying and began taking out the pots, one by one.

"You should taste the food of Velaris, it's great." Taehyung said, pouring the soup into the bowl, he grabbed a spoon and slurped.

Jimin sat on the bed, to broken and petrified, his small doe eyes that had a shade of purple softened as he gazed Taehyung in bewilderment, he never encountered any being besides his mother who always cherished him, and his father, who destroyed his life in an blink of an eye. So it was organic for Jimin to assumed that the outside world, based only type of people who loathed and forbid creature like him.

In a last few days, Jimin realized that he was alone in the entire world, and would presumably be hated like his mother was. Although, Taehyung had a reason to be considerate for Jimin, it still tangled Jimin's mind, making him wonder why he was being treated as someone important.

"Why you're doing this?" Jimin finally began to speak, his voice concealed with uncertainty.

Taehyung looked at Jimin, a heavy sigh escaped his lips, in that moment, he saw an abandoned child in Jimin, Unknown to the brutality of the world, "Because I can understand." Taehyung said, "How it feels being tortured by your own father and loosing your mother."

A deep silence wandered into the room, as Taehyung and Jimin locked their eyes with each other.
Taehyung gestured Jimin to join the table, Jimin couldn't deny any further, he stood up, limping on his feet, he approached the table and settled himself on the wooden chair, then he grabbed the spoon and slurped the soup.

The sweet savoury flavour of tomato and aroma of garlic melted into his mouth. His eyes widened at such new discovery, as all he has been eaten was the meat. The fear Jimin felt ever since the day he found himself in a strange tower, that led him to refuse any food or treatment now began to fade, as he shared the same bowl with Taehyung. Suddenly, his stomach growled and he realized how much hungry he was. Then, one by one, Jimin tasted all the dishes Taehyung brought for him.

Every dishes had its own flavour, some dishes were made with meat and some were made with vegetables, a great blender of spices, veggies and meat.

"I've never tasted these dishes before." Said Jimin, as alas, he finally began to feel at ease with Taehyung.

"Of course you came from north." Taehyung replied, he cleared his throat and sit straighten, "Where you exactly lived?"

The question brought uncountable memories to Jimin, but he forced himself to suppressed his emotions, "I spent my entire life in the valley of dead." Said Jimin, in a split of second, he realized the reason why Olivia always suggested him to learn about his future.

Taehyung couldn't response, he had heard the story of the valley of dead, the myths about the dead witches still wandering there, "How could you live in such a horrendous place?" He asked, eyes widened in bewilderment.

Jimin scoffed, "The witches allowed my mother to stay there, she was a witch too and abandoned." He answered in a subtle tone.

Taehyung hummed, "Didn't you feel alone ever in that place?" He asked another question.

Jimin shook his head, "I had freinds their." He said, placing the empty bowl back on the table.

"But I heard nobody lived there." Taehyung said, his curious gaze fixed at Jimin's alluring face.

"There were animals, and the spirit of dead witches." Jimin answered nonchalantly.

Taehyung felt a shiver crawl down his spine. As king, he was expected to be fearless, always standing tall in the face of danger. But something about this moment made him uneasy. The idea of speaking with someone who claimed to befriend dead witches was almost too much for him to process. His chest tightened, and the air around him felt colder. He forced himself to remain composed, but the thought lingered, unsettling him. How could anyone be comfortable with such dark, unnatural forces?

Jimin looked up at Taehyung's petrified face, his plumpy lips carved a smirk in a mockery, "You thought I'm just a wounded pathetic creature whom you can use for your own benefits." Said Jimin, then he stood up, "let me tell you, that I killed few witches and wolves, my father brought with him to kill me." He added, "So if you're thinking to sabotage me in any way then think about the consequences."

Taehyung smirked, "Do you really think that you can scared me?"

" Of course I can, either way, you would never brought a loyal servant of yours, who right now standing outside in the room with the huge sword in order to protect you." Jimin revealed, and silence was all that wandered into the room as Taehyung seemed uncomfortable with the shade that Jimin just revealed before him.
