Taehyung gently put the ointment over Jimin's wound, his heart ached as he merely could imagine the pain Jimin had felt during the moment of torture.

"Why your wound in stomach bleeding again?" Taehyung asked as he wrapped the bandage around Jimin's slim waist.

"Because the witches I killed cursed me?" Jimin answered, the pain had now much faded, but he knew for the time being, his wound would never healed.

Taehyung looked up at his face, "Why you teleported there when you knew there was a danger?" He asked in frustration.

"I told you, I was missing my home and my mother." Jimin replied, tears suddenly streamed through his eyes and rolled down his cheeks, "I didn't know that those witches still had grudge against me." He explained.

"Why wouldn't they? You killed them, after all," Taehyung said. After finishing bandaging Jimin's wound, he sat comfortably on the edge of the bed.

"I didn't want to kill them, they all came to kill me." Jimin aggressively defended himself, "I lost my mother because of them." His voice trembled.

Taehyung felt guilty over his careless words, "I didn't mean that." He said, "What I wanted to say, you should be careful when you used your magic."

Jimin nodded his head, "I'll be careful, I know you need me." He pouted.

Taehyung sighed, "It's true that I need you for breaking the curse your mother had put on the people of Velaris but I need you to survive." Taehyung said, denying to make any eye contact with Jimin.

Jimin looked amused at Taehyung's concern, "Why you want me to survive.?" He asked innocently.

Taehyung looked at Jimin, once again his heart pounded in his chest so loudly that he felt embarrassed, as Jimin could hear his heartbeat.

"Because...You deserve to survive, everyone deserves to live a good life, I'm sure your mother would have wanted same." Said Taehyung, he then stood up and headed towards the window.

Jimin could hear every beat of Taehyung’s heart, each thud clear in the quiet room. He could sense the nervousness Taehyung was trying so hard to hide, feeling the tension in the air. It amused Jimin that Taehyung had already started to develop feelings for him.

The idea of not having to make any effort to win him over gave Jimin a sense of satisfaction, as if everything was falling into place just as he had hoped. The subtle attraction between them made Jimin feel more at ease, knowing Taehyung’s emotions were already leaning in his favor.

"I didn't know that my mother put the Cruse on Velaris." Jimin said, apologetically.

"Your mother cursed us, in a fit of anger, I won't appreciate her act, but I can understand that she felt abandoned." Taehyung replied, "Anyway don't you know anything that could fade the effect of the poison?" Asked Taehyung, as he desperately wanted to see Jimin healed properly.

Jimin recalled the seven herbs, Tiara and his mother had told to him, "Oh I almost forgot, there are seven herbs that famous among the witches as twin herbs since they always grows together at same place, that could work against any poison, but I don't think it would be available in Velaris as it only grows in the north." Jimin informed.

Taehyung scoffed, "Don't worry I will arrange these herbs." He said proudly.

"How will you arrange those herbs? Will you travel to the north." Jimin asked, his plumpy lips turned round and his eyes became large.

"I don't need to travel anywhere, I'm a king and I can get anything." Taehyung said, a smirk appeared over his lips.

"Yes, I Know king can do anything." Jimin said.

"Of course, anything is possible for me, so wait and let me arrange these herbs for you." Taehyung assured.

Jimin softly chuckled, "Thank you for coming here, I feel less alone now." He expressed his gratitude.

Taehyung smiled gently, "You don't need to thank me." He said.

"Why?" Jimin asked curiously.

"Because we're friends." Taehyung replied.

"Oh, friends!" Jimin repeated, sounding unsure about the idea of being friends with Taehyung.

"Why, you don't want be friend with me?" Taehyung answered in return.

"No, It's not like this." Jimin replied, he crawled over his knees and sat excitedly at the edge, "You're a king, and I...I'm a hybrid, like I'm not even human then how can we be friends?" He said.

Taehyung gently smiled, "Who says two different breeds can't be friends." He said.

Jimin giggled, "Then we're friends." He offered his pinky finger.

Taehyung chuckled softly and reached out, linking his pinky finger with Jimin’s. “Then it’s a promise,” he said with a playful glint in his eyes. “No matter what anyone says, we’re friends.”

Jimin’s heart warmed at the gesture, and for a moment, he felt lighter, as if the weight of their differences didn’t matter anymore. He looked down at their linked fingers, a small smile tugging at his lips. "You really mean that, don’t you?"

Taehyung nodded, his gaze soft but sincere. “I do. What matters to me isn’t what you are, but who you are.”

Jimin blinked, feeling a little overwhelmed by the kindness in Taehyung’s words.“Thank you,” He whispered, the words barely audible, but the gratitude behind them unmistakable.

Taehyung gave his hand a gentle squeeze before releasing it. “No need to thank me, remember? Friends don’t need that.”

Jimin’s smile grew wider, feeling more comfortable in the presence of the Taehyung. "Yeah, friends don’t." He repeated, this time with a little more confidence, as if the word finally made sense.

The moment stretched between them, quiet and peaceful, until Taehyung spoke again, his tone light, "Besides, I think I’m the one who should be excited. I get to have a hybrid as a friend. That’s pretty special."

Jimin laughed, the sound bright and carefree. “You think so?”

“Absolutely,” Taehyung said, caressing his head softly.

Jimin nodded, feeling a new sense of ease settle over. Suddenly slow whisper echoed in to the room, *"Do you think you can be happy?"*  A female voice brushed his ears along with some devilish giggles.

Sharp pain shooted his stomach, so hard to endure that blocked his breath, Jimin tightened his grip against the sheet and growled angrily. His nails grew longer, eyes gleamed and canon teeth appeared, it was the pain, that drove his mind insane, something he never felt before, he felt extreme anger, an extreme urge to turn the world upside down, he didn't know what was going inside his body, but one thing was cleared in his mind, it was the curse that destroying him.
