"Yes mama I'm okay, mi eat this morning and I was actually about to eat when you called."
"Okay make sure don't stay a town and starve yourself."
"Okay Mama I won't, promise. Later love you."
"Love you too baby, take care."
The call disconnected and I sighed.
She called me every single day since I left Clarendon. Just making sure I was eating and doing okay. I knew my uncle told her about what happened, she hadn't said anything about it but I knew she would once we were face to face again.
"Nyasia!"
"Soph it open mi just text you e no!" I shouted from the kitchen.
"It lock!"
My phone rang and I answered holding it to my ear as I took the key off the key rack.
"Hello.?"
"Nyasia?"
His voice stopped me in my tracks, I hadn't even payed much attention to the caller ID.
I reached the veranda and the grill was indeed open. I rolled my eyes at Sophia shaking my head.
This girl."Who is this?" I asked with a slight attitude.
He chuckled and I couldn't help biting my lip.
"Your future husband."
I rolled my eyes even though I was smiling.
Your boy very ambitious."Is that so?"
"Yes it is, where should I pick you up?"
"Where are you taking me?" I asked, ignoring his question.
I was curious even though I was considering not going.
"It's a surprise."
Sir please.
"Surprise really? Remember you told me you're a serial killer so that doesn't sound safe."
He laughed and I smiled twirling a braid. His voice was so sexy.
"I don't remember the conversation going exactly like that Ny. I'll give you a hint if that'll ease your mind."
What I want you to give me is that......
Money yeah give me money.I giggled at my thoughts covering my mouth.
"Well?" I asked when I sobered up.
"It's a restaurant."
"That's so helpfully vague."
He chuckled and I smiled turning away from Sophia who was watching me like a hawk.
She well a eavesdrop to, she just as bad as mi."You're not telling me? How will I know what best suits the occasion?"
"Maybe just comfortable foot wear."
"That's all? What if I don't like surprises?" I mumbled.
"Ny." My breath hitched at his low tone and I bit my nail.
Nyasia please relax."I'll see you at 7."
"Okay." I answered softly.
Sophia laughed and I ignored her and sat in the sofa.
