Chapter 13. El Ray the immortal

Isaac started to explain his condition to Pam while she kept her rifle close just in case. Felicia kept watch in case more demons appeared.

Isaac: I can't tell you how or why I can't die. I just can't. Shoot me all you want, I'll just come back to life later.

Pam: You are not making yourself look good, not one little bit. All I see is a man who should be dead, but he's still talking and still alive.

Isaac: Like I said it's not what it looks like. I swear, I'm as human as you are. If I had to guess, I'd say this nightmare dimension is somehow responsible. Just like it can make the dead speak to us through electronics.

Pam: Uh huh. So maybe you're just lying to me.

Isaac: Maybe I am. But if you really believed that I wouldn't be still standing here breathing.

That little sarcasm made Pam chuckle. But she could tell that Isaac was telling the truth and not a threat. So, she lowers her weapon and then drives the boat back to the yacht.

Pam: What a freakshow this is. I liked it better when I was leading my troops in the army, or shooting down terrorists.

Felicia: So you believe us?

Pam: You guys are not out of the woods yet. When we get back, you're going to tell everyone the truth.

Isaac: I doubt anyone would believe me.

Pam: Something tells me that you'll figure it out.

Around 12pm everyone in the yacht was still waiting for Isaac and the others to come back home. Clover was staring from the balcony while worried sick. Tanisha came and offered an English muffin. Clover took it and tossed it in the water.

Clover: My bad. Just kinda bored. And I'm worried about Pam and your brother.

Tanisha: You've got nothing to worry about, Clover. I was with my brother when we fought through all sorts of demons. We even survived little girls shooting at us because they were too scared to see that we were human, too. Trust me, he'll be back.

Clover: You almost got killed by little girls? Damn, that's cool. What was it like being trapped on the prison island?

Tanisha: It was literally like walking through Hell. I felt like I was in a horror film about a haunted prison. We've met Holly, who was a resentful killer who was tormented. And there was Helga, a child who murdered other children by drowning them. And there was Dr. Jessie, who was a lunatic mad doctor actress who wanted to be Isaac's doctor. All powerful demons who were once human.

Clover: Hot damn! You guys had it worse than we did! I'm really excited to get to know you and become friends.

Tanisha: I thought we were already friends.

Clover got excited and gave Tanisha a hug. Climbing on board the yacht were Isaac, Felicia, and Pam, alive and well. Tanisha ran up to Isaac and gave him a big hug. Matt and Kevin showed up to hear the news about the Drowned Ruins. But Pam slammed her fist on the table to get everyone's attention.

Pam: Tell them exactly what you told me about your condition, Isaac. Tell them everything.

Tanisha: Ah, shit. The truth?

Isaac: The truth.

Matt: I'm sorry? What are we talking about?

Pam: Go on, tell them.

Now it was time for Isaac to speak the truth yet again. But he did something better. He took his gun and shot himself in the head, killing himself instantly. Everyone but Pam, Tanisha, and Felicia were panicked by this.
