Ivaan's pov
Past
What the fuck!
Was she retard or something?
Something must be truly wrong with this girl for her to spew nonsense like that.
“Nishita–” My voice was cold and ready to lash on her. My eyes darkened with anger, ready to explode.
“But.. where will I sit?” I heard Inayat's soft voice, she looked around the classroom packed with students.
No, you don't have to Inayat. Please don't.
“Oh.. there must be some seats available.” She said looking at Inayat boringly.
While I was thinking of studying to save people, but at that moment I wanted nothing but to fucking strangle this girl.
“Stop this nonsense, Nishita. Inayat, you don't need to go anywhere.” I rubbed my temple, as I could feel a dull ache forming inside.
Nishita looked at me, and gave a type of smile that was only possible to give by a dying hyena.
I felt Inayat's leg bouncing, her lower lip in between her teeth, her eyes swiping around the class full of students. She took a gulp of air, “Soon, exam will commence. It won't be a good.. idea.” Why was she listening to her? Couldn't she hear me? I said that she didn't need to.
Was she getting scared of this little snake of a girl?
Don't please.
“Get up, and go to my sit, right now.” I heard Nishita saying.
Before even I could stop Inayat, she was already gone. I looked at her back, I wanted to scream and wanted to hold Inayat's hand to bring her back to our seat. I saw her leaving the hall.
“Have you gone fucking mad, Nishita?” My voice was low, steady, almost a whisper. I didn’t need to shout to make her understand. There was a sharpness to it, something cold and controlled. I knew the calm edge would cut through better than any threat.
She looked at me, and again smiled, “That was just a joke. Don't take seriously.” she forwarded her hand to touch my arm. “Don't you dare to touch me.” I spoke as anger bubbled inside me.
Her hand suspended in air, “Ivaan, come on. She didn't mind. She was a junior, she has to follow our orders.” And I knew as I heard that, she was really a self centered psycho.
"First of all, just because she's our junior doesn't mean we can boss her around. We're students too, not her teachers, and there's only a one-year difference between us. How do you even know she didn't mind? She shouldn't have to cater to your demands, especially when she has an exam in less than fifteen minutes. She's a class 10 student, and her internals are far more important than whatever exam we have going on. So no, Nishita, you don't get to walk in here and mess with her mental peace like that. No one gave you that right. I won't tolerate this shit of yours. Secondly, I would very much appreciate for you to keep your distance from me, we might have a common friend group, but I haven't ever talked to you more than 10 words, it would be better, if it stays like that." Her face paled as I finished talking.
“And just to clear your doubt, that you have, it seems, don't know why, but still, I'm not your boyfriend, and don't have any interest in being one in future, so from now on refrain from saying this bullshit. And you should know, I hate hearing rumors about me.”
She nodded her head, looked up at me, “I was just kidding you know, before the exam to lighten the mood.” She gave a fake laughter. Even her laughter grated on my nerves.
