"Hey!" I called out as I approached.

Paano ba naman kasi, after so many weeks ay muli ko siyang nakita!

Oh, how I wish I can waive off that hesitation in him. But then, I couldn't just enforce it on him.

We walked to the nearby tricycle stand, and Hans guided me inside. Hans was tall and big, and he almost occupied the whole space. It was a tight fit, but I didn't mind at all.

As the tricycle started moving, I tried to make myself as comfortable as I could. The seats were a bit cramped, and the ride was bumpy, but I found it endearing. I had never been in a tricycle before, so this was a new experience for me.

Hans noticed me shifting around and put my books on his other thigh to give me more space. Then, he took my hand that was holding his arm, and intertwined his fingers with mine, holding it firmly. Damn!

We were holding hands!

Malambing niyang tanong.

I didn't want him to think that it was the tricycle that was making me all squirmy, because it wasn't!

"Yeah. First time," I admitted, leaning closer to him. "It's kinda fun, actually."

He smiled, looking down at our intertwined hands. Thank you, dahil maliit ang tricycle.

The ride was a bit noisy with the engine's hum and the wind rushing past us, but it felt intimate. Being so close to Hans, feeling the warmth of his body next to mine, made the whole experience special.

We rode through the bustling streets, passing by various stalls and shops. People went about their day, unaware of the little world we had created inside that tricycle. I felt a sense of peace and contentment, just being with him.
