Part 25# Prisoner

My eyes felt heavy as I forced them open. I blinked lazily as I tried to get the sleep out of my eyes. I was in my room. The room was dark apart from the little sunlight that came through the cracks in the closed curtains.

I was right back in hell. I looked to the side and saw an IV drip stuck in my arm. I was in nothing but a shirt and all the blood that coated my body was gone. It was like nothing had happened. I lifted my shirt slightly seeing that I had no underwear on. There was a bandage wrapped around my stomach where I was stabbed.

A tear fell out of the corner of my eye and I wiped it away roughly. No Madelyn. You're stronger than this.

I grabbed the IV ripping it off my arm before tossing the cover off my body. I stood up before falling back down on the bed when a sharp pain shot through me. I winced gripping on to the edge of the bed. I took a deep breath and held on to my stomach before trying to get up again. Slower this time.

When no sharp pain came I stood up straight and let out the breath I was holding. The shirt fell to my thighs and I ran a hand through my hair.

I looked around the room for a clock or watch of some kind but there was nothing.

Frustrated I picked up the vase on my side table and tossed it at the door. It shattered and I didn't feel any better as I buried my face in my hands

"Madelyn?" I heard from the other side of the door and I immediately lifted my face from my hands.

"Kai?" I asked moving towards the door.

"You're supposed to be resting." He said and I tried to open the door only to see that it's locked.

"Come here." I told him but he didn't try to open the door.

"Lorenzo told me to stay on this side of the door." He called out from the other side of the door and I rolled my eyes.

"And I'm telling you to come here." I said.

"Well it's a good thing I don't take orders from you then." He said and I grunted banging on the door.

"Kaaaiiii!" I said dragging out his name.

"Madelynnnn." He said back in the same tone and I grunted.

"Butt munch!" I yelled.

"Hellion!" He yelled back.

"Egghead!" I shot back.

"Wicked witch of the west!" He said from the other side and I gasped.

"That's it get in here!" I said.

"Nope." He called from the other side.

"I'll fight you Kai!" I said and he scoffed.

"Yeah right. Pipe down sweetheart you wouldn't wanna tear your stitches." He said and I smirked.

"Maybe I will tear my stitches." I called out. "I wonder what Lorenzo will have to say about you being the reason I tore my stitches." I said waiting for a reaction.

"But if that's what you want then oh well..." I said menacingly.

Just then the lock clicked and Kai opened the door rushing in. I smirked as he glared at me.

"You little bitch." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"How long have I been out?" I asked ignoring his insult.

"3 days." He said and my eyes widened.

"3 days?!" I said in shock. "Fuck Kai I got to get out of here."
