Chapter 10

Bea POV

I just finished my shower when Cait called me over to join her.

"Si Bea pala roommate ko. Ngayon ko lang siya mapapakilala sayo sa video call."

I raised my chin up to acknowledge him. "Hey what's up?"

"Ok naman now lang kita uli nakita. Alagaan mo mabuti si Cait."

"You don't even need to ask." If I could just penetrate through the screen I would knock his teeth off, the nerve of this guy. Ano ba nakita ni Cait talaga dito? This guy is a complete dick kung umasta kala mo walang ginawang masama kay Cait. Paglingon ko kinikilig naman tong isa. Haay this is such a losing cause.

"Cait balik na ko sa bed ko may aayusin pa ko sa masteral ko."

"Ay sige just give me a few minutes mag end call na ko."

"Alis ka na agad babe?" Narinig kong sabi nung isa. Gusto kong maduwal.

"Babe ka jan di pa tayo uli."

"E dun din naman papunta yun."

I was trying my best to focus on the screen of my laptop but hearing their disgusting lovesick conversation is making me sick. Di ko na matiis I closed my laptop at medyo napalakas ata at napatingin si Cait at nagmamadaling nagpaalam sa kausap niya. Tumayo na ko para itabi yung laptop at patayin yung ilaw na malapit sakin.

I noticed na namatay na din yung light on her side and then I felt the other side of my mattress dipped and felt her hug me from the behind while pressing her head on my back.

"Wag ka na magalit please. Kakabati lang natin recently. Promise next time mag end call agad ako when you are doing your school requirements."

"It's not that naman." I sighed and turned around to face her. The moonlight is still shining a bit from our window kaya naaaninag ko pa rin ang mukha niya and she is worried for real.

"You really don't like him talaga."

"Is there a reason for me to like him?" She couldn't answer quickly it is like a lump got stuck on her throat. "Nonetheless I'm trying to be civil with him that is the least I could do. But I don't know how long I could stretch my patience and he is not making it easy for me at all."

"Mahihirapan ka talaga magustuhan siya kasi may preconceived notion ka na sa kanya and you don't find him okay"

"Do you really deserve that kind of guy? Mauubusan ka na ba kaya nagtyatyaga ka dun?"

"Hindi mo naman maiintindihan yung nararamdaman ko. Hindi ganun kadali sakin itapon yung pinagsamahan namin."

"Well then you deserve what you tolerate."

"Sumosobra ka na Bea ang sakit mo magsalita porke ayaw ko mag-away tayo ulit."

Akmang tatayo na ito pero pinigilan ko siya at niyakap. "Look I'm sorry Cait the truth hurts pero fine okay. I'll forget about his annoying past and present and really try my best to be ok with him. But don't expect us to be friends."

Yumakap ito ng mahigpit.

"Thank you Bei gusto ko lang magkasundo ang dalawang taong mahalaga sakin."

I noticed nakapikit na siya. "Can't you find someone else who deserves you better? Marami namang iba sa paligid mo Cait na mahal ka if you will just open your eyes." Akala ko tulog na siya pero she heard everything pala.
