Chapter 6

Bea POV

I was busy bringing out the food and drinks. When I noticed the girls having fun, nagtutulakan sila sa pool it was crazy some of them were even tossing one another. Good 'ole Ateneo tradition. I would have definitely joined them if di pa ko busy dito. Then I suddenly felt a hand tugged on my arm and when I turned to look napako na lang yung mata ko sa kanya. She was drenched in water, her shirt was soaked and sticking to her like a second skin and her hair was wet and messy. And I couldn't help but peek in all the right spots tao lang may mata at madilim naman di niya na siguro mapapansin if magwander ang mata ko.

"Ang busy mo tara swimming tayo." Hinihila ko nito ang tapang medyo nakainom na kasi.

"Later na lang baka matapon yung dala ko o." Nagpout naman ito kaya wala na kong nagawa kungdi ilapag yung bitbit ko at magpatangay sa kanya. Habang hinihila niya ko sa pool.

May biglang nagpatugtog ng Bakit nga ba mahal kita ni Roselle Nava. And my former ateneo teammates were staring at me while singing loudly napasabay na lang din tuloy ako.

"Ang cute niyo."

"National anthem namin yan." As I kept singing while looking at her.

Bakit nga ba mahal kita
Kahit na may mahal ka ng iba
Ba't baliw na baliw ako sayo

"Wag kang masyado uminom a baka malasing ka."

"Ok lang andiyan ka naman."

"E pano if gusto ko din mag-inom?"

"Edi kay Deanna."

"Bakit sa kanya?"

"Close din naman kami."

"Right. Tuloy ko muna yung pag-ayos ng food and drinks niyo. I will be back." Medyo nawala ako sa mood at umahon na ko as I took the tray in my hands. Dumako muna ko sa opposite side ng pool na madilim para magpalamig as I started drinking and looked at their direction.

I saw Deanna jumped in the pool to join her. Creating a huge splash around her. While Cait was just laughing hard. I should be there I wanna be there pero baka di ko mapigilan ang sarili ko so I decided to just sit there and watch at lalo akong napainom when I saw Deanna jumped on her back sa pool. Their closeness is really an eyesore.

Di ko namalayan na nakatulog pala ko ng tinapik ako ni Deanna.

"Te Bei balik ka na sa room mo at matulog."

"No wait for me here." Nagtaka ito pero inintay naman ako nito after I brought new stocks of drinks.

Dalawa na lang kami ni D as I approached her and handed her out another beer. Medyo nakainom na din ito gaya ko.

"Tell me D. Are you making a move on Cait?"

"Ano bang sinasabi mo ate Bei. Everyone knows you had it bad for her."

"That doesn't mean that you do not have any slightest bit of attraction to her."

"Alam mo Ate Bei nakainom ka lang let's call it a night." Tumayo na si Deanna at akmang aalis ng humabol pa ko ng salita dito.

"Well just so you know if ever you do. I'm not backing down and giving way to you."

Nilingon ako nito. "I'm not expecting you to. Pero ang tanong gusto ka rin ba niya?"

That comeback from D hit like a bitch when she left I threw the empty bottle in the pool. I wanted to throw it in the wall but that would create a lot of noise.

Do I really stand a chance on her especially when I heard her ex bf wants to win her back? Ganyan naman sila pag ok ka na saka bumabalik. I have to act fast then. I have to make her see that he isn't right for her, that I'm the one she deserves.
