Chapter 96: Summer Breakdown Part 1

We see Maeve with Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow inside of her chamber. She was going over with them about you.

Maeve: You three are going to aid me in taking out this... brat! Along with those girls of his.

They were surprised by this.

Tirek: Why should we help you? And I thought he was dead.

Maeve: He lives. He is unlike any other being.

Tirek growls.

Chrysalis: I hate that brat! He ruined my life!

Tirek: Mine as well!

Cozy Glow: Mine also!

Maeve was a little curious about this.

Maeve: Tell me, what did he do to all of you?

Chrysalis: I lost my job because of him! And after being in prison, he was the only person I wanted revenge on!

Tirek: I was once the manager of Tirek Labs, but then he discovered that I was doing illegal experiments, so he had me shut down!

Maeve then looks at Cozy Glow.

Maeve: And you?

Cozy Glow was a little unsettled.

Cozy Glow: He... he broke a promise to me.

Maeve: What kind of promise?

Cozy Glow sheds a few tears.

Maeve was giving her a serious look.

Maeve: I see.

She begins to cry a bit as Maeve comforts her.

Maeve: I'm sorry, dear child.

She then paces sinisterly.

Maeve: Well, you want revenge on him, right?

They all nod.

Maeve: Consider me an ally to all of you, then. I plan on bringing my lord back from the prison he's being held.

Maeve then holds out some strange things.

Maeve: In this world, there is something called magic. It comes from another world, but I was able to find more of this magic. This will grant you abilities of unknown sources. Unlimited power beyond your imagination.

This made the three curious.

Maeve: With this, you'll be able to fight him. All I ask is that you do not kill him. I will let my lord do the killing for you.

Cozy Glow: So what do we do about him?

Maeve glares for a while.

Maeve: You fight him... but make him suffer.

She chuckles sinisterly.
