Chapter 81: Meeting The Families/Gray Love

You were now back in Canterlot at home. You were hanging out with your family and your girlfriends. Specifically Twilight, Sunset, the Dazzlings, and Starlight. Your friends from Berk were back at the edge helping bring the gold back to Berk. As you were all hanging out, your dad then brought up something.

(D/N): Hey, son. We were wondering about something.

(Y/N): What is it, dad?

(D/N): Well, we've known most of your girlfriends for a while now. Specifically, Sunset, Twilight, Sci-Twi, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack. They've been great to be around. We wanted to get to know their families more.

This surprised you.

(Y/N): You did?

(M/N): Well, these girls have had a huge impact on your life, so why not have a little barbecue to get to know the families?

You were completely surprised by this.

(Y/N): You want to know their families?

Your mom and dad nod. You weren't sure about this, however since your girlfriend's families are... rather different from yours. You've known Pinkie's family for a while now, you've met Rarity's family before, you've met Rainbow Dash's parents who were quite nice, you rarely meet Fluttershy's parents since they're usually busy, you've known Granny Smith for a while, and Sci-Twi's parents are nice to meet as well. You were wondering who would get along with your family best.

Your thoughts were then interrupted by Sunset.

Sunset: Babe, you ok?

(Y/N): Huh? Oh... Yeah. I'm good. I was just thinking.

Twilight: Does this involve meeting the families?

(Y/N): Kind of.

(M/N): It's ok if you're not ready for this.

You thought for a moment before answering.

(Y/N): (thinking) Maybe this won't be so bad. I mean, I do love my girlfriends, and if I want their families to get along with my family, I might as well let this happen. (speaking) You know what, that sounds like a great idea.

This surprised everyone.

(Y/N): I wouldn't mind having our families get to know each other. (to mom and dad) It would be nice for you to meet them.

(D/N): Are you sure, son?

(M/N): It's ok if you don't want us to meet them yet, we'll wait.

(Y/N): Well, I've known these girls for a while now, and I think it would be a great idea for you to meet them.

This makes your parents happy to hear.

(M/N): Well, we'll get the food ready for this weekend. You can tell your girlfriends that they can come over with their families at any time.

This makes you smile knowing that your families are going to meet.

Two Days Later

You had texted Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Sci-Twi if their families wanted to come over for a barbecue and a meet and greet, which they all agreed to. The girls offered to bring some food over so you and your family wouldn't do all the cooking. Applejack offered to bring over an apple pie, Pinkie Pie offered to bring a cake, Rarity offered to make a fruit platter, Rainbow Dash offered to bring some chicken wings, Fluttershy offered to make a salad, and Sci-Twi offered to bring some corn. It was nice that they were bringing some food over since you didn't want to overwork the food.
