Chapter 25

Damn that promise! Where is Taesan? It was almost 10 pm!

Leehan thought Taesan wouldn't disappear again after what he did to him years ago when they're still in highschool. Taesan even promised that he'll tell Leehan when something's up but what happened?

He technically broke two of his promises today. And, what is Jessa's business? Why is she even with him?

Leehan finished his paperwork two hours before the present time. He just thought he would wait for his boyfriend, which he now regretted.

Jaehyun, Woonhak, and Sungho brought him dinner but he couldn't eat because he was waiting for Taesan. But now, at 5 minutes before 10, he couldn't take the hunger and tiredness anymore... and the sadness.

He stood up and left Taesan's office. He thought he would just walk since he thought that maybe it would help with easing up the pain.

Leehan could make a call and their family driver could drive him home or stop a taxi but he chose not to.

In the middle of his walk home, he looked like a zombie. He was so tired and lifeless. Other people were looking at him, but he didn't care because he just wanted to go home and sleep.

Right at that moment, he felt his phone vibrate. He smiled slightly because he knew it was Taesan and he had no choice but to answer it because there might be an emergency or something and he was one of the people who would know immediately what happened.

[Giant Baby calling..]

"Hello?" he greeted unfavorably.

"Hannie, shit, I'm sorry.. where are you? I'll drive you home. I just got back here at the office. I'm really sorry-"

"It's okay, Min. I'm already home."

But the world seemed to be against him because the moment he said that, cars honked around him because of the traffic, which gave Taesan the truth.

"Leehan.." He heard his boyfriend call him, as if telling him that he already knows he's lying.

"Sorry, Min. I'm just so tired. Can we talk tomorrow?"

"We will. We will talk tomorrow, Hannie. Just please tell me where you are right now so I can pick you up and bring you home.. Have you eaten yet? Do you want me to-"

"I already ate, Min. Sorry, I didn't wait for you. I was so hungry earlier. And you don't have to bring me home because I'm already home."

He continued lying even though he knew he was caught. After years of being with Taesan, he was pretty sure that his boyfriend already knew him well.

If he looked and sounded dreadful, that only meant he didn't want to talk and he couldn't be persuaded anymore.

"Hannie.." he heard him call him through the other line but he remained silent.

"I'll pick you up there," Taesan said after a minute of not exchanging conversations.

"You said we would have dinner together," Leehan couldn't help but mumble in a low voice. He didn't know where he had the courage to say those, but since he already did, he didn't take it back.

"You made me wait for you, and you didn't even come back.."

"Hannie, I'm sorry.. I'm here now. I was just-"

"Late," Leehan interrupted him. He couldn't hold it in anymore, so he said goodbye even though Taesan hadn't agreed.

"I'm really sleepy, Min. I'm going to bed now. Bye." Then he ended the call without hearing Taesan's response.

He felt him calling again but he decided to ignore it and walk home alone, tears pooling in his eyes right there and then.

Just when Valentine's Day was tomorrow, he felt this way...
