Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows, how will you know if there's hope if you don't try? But not everyone has the courage, that's why some just rely on heavens, or fate, for that matter.Isn't it funny? So many people need the gods to save their lives, and here's Taesan wanting the heavens to save his love life.
Why should the heavens do it? Do they have feelings for Leehan? Isn't it Taesan? Why rely on the heavens when he can start with himself?
Three words. Eight letters. Three syllables.
And it won't take long to say the words 'I love you' but in Taesan's case? It's been delayed for so long.
Five years. Since age 15.
"Slow down, you're not in a race," Taesan said to Leehan who was biting into a burger and taking a bite of pizza, a last minute decision made by Leehan to buy.
His cheeks were round on either side, making Leehan laugh as he took out his phone to take a picture of the boy. "You look like a chipmunk."
Leehan glared at him and quickly chewed his food. "Delete that, Min! You're so annoying."
"No way," Taesan teased. "Look at this meme-worthy picture. Jumpscare-Ouch!"
Other people at the parklooked at them because Taesan's reaction was a bit loud when Leehan hit him on the arm.
"You're so annoying! Delete that, Han Dongmin!" Leehan complained.
"I will if you don't have any cheese on your mouth! Say cheese, chipmunk!" And he took more pictures of Leehan, so the latter got even more annoyed and hit him again.
"You're such an attention-seeker! Your phone is full of my face because of you." Leehan rolled his eyes as he said that.
"I wouldn't mind if it's you."
Taesan took a tissue and handed it to his friend. Leehan took it and wiped his lips. "Is it okay now?"
"No, there's still some on the other side," Taesan replied, so Leehan wiped his lips again.
"What is it with you, Leehan, it won't come off. You're really like a baby. Here let me." Taesan took just one tissue and applied it to the right side of Leehan's lips to wipe off the cheese.
If he were to describe Leehan's lips, Taesan could do it all day - red, perfect, and above all, endearing when he smiled.
From his lips, Taesan's gaze suddenly shifted to Leehan's eyes, which were slanted, they would disappear when he smiled.
Their gazes locked and Taesan suddenly felt his heart racing as if it wanted to escape from his chest.
On the other hand, for some unknown reason, Leehan felt a sudden jolt. It was as if he felt something strange that he knew how to describe but couldn't explain.
"There, it's gone," Taesan was the first to break the gaze because he needed to control himself.
"Hahaha... thanks, I-let's eat" Leehan said, stuttering a bit and laughing nervously.
At that moment, things took an unusual turn. For the first time, the two were silent at the table, even though there was no problem, even though there was nothing bothering them, they were just quiet. As if they were feeling each other out, unable to explain what they were both feeling.
Taesan really miscalculated. He shouldn't have relied on heavens, he should have relied on Cupid. Maybe Cupid's arrow would hit both of their hearts just right.
