Dear Readers,
I'm writing today to address a serious issue that has been affecting my writing and my overall enjoyment of this platform. Unfortunately, I've been receiving hateful comments and messages regarding my BL fanfictions.
Two of them are particularly hating on my Gongfourz fanfiction and Myungnyangz fanfiction. They showed major hate that led to them cursing me and wanted the deletion my works. This has affected me by a lot and so I decided to put this story on hold for now.
These comments have been hurtful and have caused me to hesitate in updating my stories. Enough is enough.
One particular user has shown signs of ignorance and homophobia towards my work. They've made statements indirectly suggesting that BL fanfictions are inappropriate or that there's nothing to learn from them. These comments are not only disrespectful but also harmful to the LGBTQ+ community.
I always put a disclaimer in all of my stories that shows what a reader can expect from the chapters and kindly said that if the contents make you uncomfortable, you can skip it. I expect my readers to respect these disclaimers.
I've tried to respond to these comments with patience and understanding, hoping to engage in constructive dialogue. However, the responses I've received have been dismissive and lacking in respect. I received nothing but such ignorance at its finest.
It's disheartening to see such negativity and intolerance in a community that is supposed to be supportive and welcoming. Especially, from a fellow ONEDOOR and kpop fan.
To the ones who saw it on my message board, please let's not further add fuel to their ego. I also don't want my readers to show toxicity to other authors and their works. Please don't hate towards her works. As the saying says, hate the author not the work. But, to those who wanted to report that account, it is still your choice on how you will respond to this.
Despite these challenges, I remain committed to creating stories that I love and that bring joy to my readers. However, I also want to prioritize my mental health and well-being.
The reason why I also take much time updating is that I considered taking a break from updating my BL fanfictions focusing on my own happiness and to distance myself from the negativity. I will no longer tolerate this kind of behavior.
Thank you for your understanding and support. I hope we can continue to create a positive and inclusive space for all writers and readers on Wattpad.
