Taesan followed Leehan into his living area, then Leehan stopped and took a breath before facing Taesan."I didn't forget anything, you forgot something to tell me." And he handed Taesan his hoodie.
"You didn't have to bring this back. You could have done it tomorrow, you're so considerate." Taesan said with a laugh and took his hoodie from Leehan.
But Taesan was puzzled by Leehan's extremely serious expression. "Is something wrong?"
"Yes."
"What?"
"You."
Taesan saw Leehan's brow furrow.
"Me? Why me?" Taesan asked, confused.
"Didn't we promise not to lie or hide something before I gave you my trust again?" Leehan said.
Taesan nodded in response.
"Then, I want your honesty, Taesan. I want you to tell me the truth."
"What's happening, Hannie?" Taesan inquired.
"In your pocket, I found your keychain." Taesan quickly felt the pocket of his hoodie and his eyes widened when he saw it there.
His heart suddenly beat faster because it could only mean one thing- Leehan had seen the playlist he made for him.
"What did you see?" he asked.
"Is it true?" Leehan asked softly, and Taesan nodded without hesitation because he knew what he was referring to.
"Since when?" Leehan asked softly.
"Since 2nd year highschool, Leehan. I didn't expect it either, but I couldn't help it. I just suddenly liked you- loved you." Taesan said firmly. In his mind, he thought this was the right time he had asked the heavens for, but he was still unsure.
Leehan felt a pang in his heart at those words. "Why didn't you say anything? Why didn't you admit it?"
Taesan chuckled softly. "I was confused, Hannie. I thought I would only like girls, but that time it felt like you awakened something inside of me that hasn't gone away until now. It's like you electrified me, and I still feel it until now. I planned it so many times, Leehan. God knows how many times I asked for a chance and great timing to confess to you, but I was always too late. That's why I said to myself, let fate decide. That if you were really meant for me, they would surely give you to me willingly. Damn, I just let it be, because I'm a coward."
"I hate you," Leehan whispered.
"It's valid. Sorry, Hannie. I value our friendship, and I know this isn't easy for you. It's also not easy for me to like my best friend. Sometimes it feels like you're so close, but I can't have you." Taesan continued.
"I hate you for being a coward and I hate myself for restraining myself." Leehan said firmly, surprising Taesan.
"What?"
"Do you think you're the only one who felt that way?" Leehan stepped closer to Taesan. "I started to like you when I was 15. But I set it aside because it couldn't be. You're my friend, and friends are just friends. I stopped myself because I knew you wouldn't like me and I'm you're the next in line CEO. Like you said, I thought you wouldn't like me because I'm not a girl."
Leehan looked at Taesan intently. "That's why I distracted myself. I entertained everyone who liked me because that way I could forget that I liked my best friend. That way I could escape my feelings for you. I thought it was gone. I thought I didn't like you anymore, but damn, my heart is a traitor, Taesan. No matter where I try to go, I always come back to you."
"Hannie..." Taesan called his name softly.
"Tell me, Min. Just say you like me and we'll start a new chapter together. I'm tired of pretending and avoiding my feelings."
"Liking you is an understatement, Hannie. Those words are not enough to express how I feel." Taesan held Leehan's cheek and gently stroked it. "Because I love you, Leehan."
Leehan smiled at what he heard from Taesan and without hesitation, he ran to him and hugged him right.
Taesan hugged him back.
"I love you too, Min," he whispered.
He couldn't believe that he had been wishing for this for so long, and now Taesan was here in front of him, saying the words he had wanted to hear for years.
"Why?" Leshan asked, but Taesan just smiled.
"I just remember that before, when you were around, I would suddenly become speechless and I would run out of breath when you kissed my cheek when I did something for you. Damn, and now you're here in front of me. I can't believe it."
"Are you blushing because of me?" Leehan asked with a laugh when he saw Taesan's face turn red as he said that.
"I can't help it. I'm still head over heels for you." He cupped Leehan's face and kissed his nose.
"You're like a drug in my system, Leehan." And Leehan felt Taesan's lips on his forehead.
Leehan opened his eyes and frowned. "Okay, but is this kiss not included?" he asked, pouting at Taesan.
Taesan laughed. "Oh, right. I might forget that if I don't give you one." He said jokingly and pressed his lips to Leehan's.
