As the days turned into weeks, Leehan's internal conflict deepened. He was torn between loyalty and ambition, between friendship and self-preservation. He spent countless hours alone, pacing his room, trying to find a solution.

"I could really use your help, Taesan.." he whispered, voice cracking slightly. "You've been gone for weeks.. where have you been?"

Leehan curled up on his bed, a crumpled ball of despair. The room was a tomb of silence, broken only by the relentless ticking of the clock. He stared at the ceiling, his mind a chaotic storm of thoughts.

"Why did you have to disappear like this?"
he whispered, his voice hoarse.

He reached for his phone, thumb hovering over Taesan's number. He wanted to hear his friend's voice, even if it was just a voicemail. But what would he say? There was no point in leaving another message.

A sob escaped his lips. He missed everything about Taesan - their inside jokes, their shared dreams, the comfort of their friendship. It was like a part of him was missing.

"I can't do this alone," he murmured, burying his face in his pillow. The weight of the world seemed to be crushing him. Nica's words echoed in his mind: sacrifice, the greater good. But at what cost?

As he stared out of his window at the moonlit sky, he realized the gravity of the situation. If he chose to stay with Taesan, he risked jeopardizing his friend's future. But if he walked away, he would be betraying the bond they had forged over years.

He thought of all the shared laughter, the countless adventures, the unwavering support they had given each other. How could he possibly abandon Taesan now?

But then he thought of Nica's words, of the life of luxury and success that was being offered to him. A life that he had never really imagined for himself. A life that could provide security and comfort for his family.

The temptation was overwhelming. Could he really sacrifice his own happiness for Taesan's? Was it selfish to put his own needs before his friend's?

Leehan was trapped with no clear path to escape. The weight of the decision was crushing, and he felt as if he were drowning in a sea of doubt and uncertainty.

As morning approached, Leehan made a decision. A decision that would change his life forever. But as he opened his mouth to speak, he hesitated. The words were on the tip of his tongue, but he couldn't bring himself to say them.

Nica's eyes were filled with anticipation, waiting for his answer. Leehan looked at her, his mind racing.

He knew that whatever he said, there would be consequences. And he knew that he would never be able to escape the guilt that would follow.
