The search for our new guitarist was well under way, we'd considered a few people but had decided against them. We wanted the perfect fit, someone who could live up to Danny's talent and get along with the rest of the group. We'd met with egotistical assholes, shy guys and people who just didn't have what it took.Strangely enough, when we found the new member it wasn't where we expected to find them. Before we embarked on our joint tour with Lorna Shore, we almost had an upcoming band from New York support us. Well, turns out shit didn't kick off for them after all. Emily, their rhythm guitarist approached us, showing interest in taking up the role. She definitely had the skills, she was comfortable around us all right away and had an admiration for our band. We had a few jam sessions together, to get a real feel for how we liked performing together.
We loved her.Maria and I spoke at the side of the rehearsal room, with baby Danny strapped to her chest.
"So, we need to make it official I guess. I'll speak to Tom later on and tell him we're happy with Emily." I gave Maria a half smile."Yeah, it's gonna be strange isn't it?" She glanced over at the rest of the band speaking to the new girl. "Starting up again, without Danny."
"Yeah" I sniffled, trying to hold myself together. "He wouldn't want us to quit though."
She just nodded in response. "So, how's the baby making going?" She smirked.
"The act of the baby making is..." I sighed happily, a grin taking over my face "fucking fantastic" I chuckled. "No luck yet though."
"It'll happen, when the stars align and the wind blows in the correct direction." She huffed a laugh. "Don't sweat it, just enjoy yourselves." She nudged me gently with her elbow before walking over to everyone else.
I walked over to them and we told Emily we'd be ecstatic if she'd join the band. She was elated, thanking us all and giving us a firm hug. We had no doubt we'd made the correct choice, we wanted to be in the studio as soon as Oli and Maria were back and not long after that we'd be touring again.
In our down time I'd started up a clothes brand, with the help of Will. The launch of our website was only days away, it felt like life was falling into place nicely. My time was utilised fully, I was constantly in motion. Will and I had also done a fair few covers for his YouTube channel, which was more for a bit of fun really.Life was good.

Will and I sat in front of my laptop, refreshing the page every few seconds to see our website go live. When it appeared I squealed with delight.
"There it is! All our hard work." I was so proud of us. "Now let's hope people buy it."
"Of course they will!" His arm draped over my shoulder. "We've down amazing, baby." He kissed my head softly.
I sat staring at the website for at least an hour, while Will pottered around the house. He sat back down with me after a while, encouraging me to get on with my day. We ventured out, going to the mall for some lunch and on the search for some new things for the house. We walked out of Bed Bath and Beyond and I spotted Emily stood with a few other people. I waved at her with a smile and she practically skipped over.
"Hey!" She greeted the two of us.
"Hi Emily! How weird seeing you here!" I laughed lightly "visiting friends?"
"Yeah, we all know each other from college. You guys doing some shopping?" She nodded at the bags in our hands.
"Yeah, you know boring stuff. Towels, bedding. All very rock and roll." I shrugged. "Oh! This is my husband Will, Will this is Emily our new guitarist."
