I was smiling down at my phone, typing a reply to Will. We'd shortlisted some songs, in the hope I wouldn't be too nervous to attempt recording something with him. It was just fun anyway, it's not like we're making an album.Maria sat in front of the vanity mirror in my room finishing her make up.
"You nervous?" She nodded, I placed my hands on her shoulders smiling. "You look amazing, you are gonna have that man worshipping the ground you walk on. You said not a single word to him and he was desperate for you. Fucking give yourself some credit! Please?" Her reflection looked at me through her eyelashes, head hung low. "I wish you could see yourself from other peoples point of view sometimes" I gave her a kiss on top of the head before walking to the wardrobe."What did Will say to that Mark guy in the interview, by the way?"
"Max!" I exclaimed "I'm kind of scared to find out" I rummaged around for an outfit to change into. "Will you watch it and tell me?"
Maria spun around to face me "and you're the one always telling me to stop being a pussy?" A grin laced her face. "The guy was following you like a lost puppy today, I highly doubt he'd do that if he'd talked shit about you yesterday."
"He wasn't following me like a puppy" she rolled her eyes. I grabbed ripped jeans and a black crop top and started to get changed.
"Watch the interview, now. Put it on, let's find out" she dropped the tv remote in front of me.
I stood mindlessly twirling my hair, waiting for the question. Max asked the band pretty much the same stuff as us, forgoing the dating question. When asked who they were looking forward to seeing live, without a beat Will said he was most excited to see us for the first time.
We stared at each other in amazement.
"No fucking way! He mentioned us by name." My hands covered my mouth."Now, there has been some comparisons between yourself and their vocalist hasn't there? 'The Female Will Ramos' is what is often thrown out there. So how does it feel to be the Male equivalent of her?" Will threw his head back laughing.
"I'll take that as a compliment! She's a fucking phenomenal artist. Our styles are extremely similar, I suppose we've got a lot of the same influences. I can imagine she wouldn't mind people appreciating her talent, without comparing it to another artist constantly though. Let's quit it people!" Will looked right into the camera, shaking his finger like a teacher telling off naughty children. A smile from ear to ear.
"He stood up for you" Maria gushed.
"He wants people to stop comparing the two of us, it benefits us both."
"Whatever you say. I'm going to head to the bar, have a couple drinks before I meet Noah. Hopefully I'll be able to actually speak to him then. Joining me?" She opened the door to the hallway as my phone vibrated.
"I'm gonna head down and meet Will, he's ready. But text me when you can, let me know how it's going. Remember, make that man bark like a dog!" I winked at her with a cheesy grin before she closed the door behind her.

We arrived at the studio, Will was getting everything set up ready to start and I got comfortable in the chair next to his.
"Let's acquaint you with some Sleep Token then!" He clapped as he stood up, ready to start. He beamed at me "if this one doesn't get you into them, I don't know what more I can do" shrugging with his hands held up.
He'd told me he was doing a song called Take me back to Eden.
His clean vocals were beyond beautiful, I was taken aback. I did not expect this at all. He looked over, grinning like the Cheshire Cat when it was instrumentals and my heart melted.
He's just so happy.
