A few hundred years had flown by since Legolas last visited Lothlórien, but the golden leaves and the peaceful woods felt just as magical as you remembered. As the granddaughter of Lady Galadriel, you had grown up here, surrounded by beauty and the sounds of nature. But today was different—you felt an electric thrill in the air as you approached your favorite spot, the old oak tree. You leaned against the trunk, feeling nostalgic. Memories of that day with Legolas rushed back—the way he had smiled at you, the sound of his laughter echoing in your mind. Even now, you could remember the warmth of his gaze and the way your heart had raced.
Suddenly, you heard laughter nearby, and your heart skipped a beat. You turned to see a familiar figure stepping through the trees. It was Legolas! He looked just as stunning as you remembered, with his long blonde hair flowing like sunlight and those blue eyes that seemed to sparkle with mischief.
“(Y/N)!” he exclaimed, his face lighting up with a smile.
“Legolas!” You rushed forward, barely containing your excitement. “I can’t believe you’re here!”
He enveloped you in a warm hug, and you felt your cheeks flush. “I’ve missed this place—and you,” he said, pulling back to look into your eyes.
“I’ve missed you too,” you replied, trying to sound cool but feeling your heart race. “What brings you back to Lothlórien after all this time?”
Legolas leaned against the tree, his expression turning serious. “I needed to see you. Things are changing in Middle-earth. Many of us are leaving for the Undying Lands, and I can’t imagine going without you.”
Your heart skipped a beat at his words. “Wait, are you serious? You’re leaving?”
He nodded, looking a bit anxious. “Yes. I wanted to ask you to come with me. I know it’s sudden, but I feel we have a connection that I can’t ignore.”
You swallowed hard, feeling a mix of excitement and fear. “But what about everything here? This is my home. I can’t just leave.”
“I understand,” he said, his voice gentle. “But think about what awaits beyond the sea. A place of peace and beauty, and you would be by my side.”
The thought sent butterflies fluttering in your stomach. You felt torn. “It’s a big decision, Legolas. I have my life here, my responsibilities.”
“I know it’s a lot to think about,” he said, stepping closer, his blue eyes locking onto yours. “But I’ve waited so long for this moment, and I want to share my journey with you.”
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm glow around you, you felt your heart swell with emotion. You took a deep breath and finally said, “I need some time to think about it.”
Legolas nodded, a hint of disappointment in his eyes. “Of course. I don’t want to rush you. Just know that I’ll always be waiting.”
The silence stretched between you, filled with the sounds of the forest. You could feel the tension building, and suddenly, it felt like the world around you had faded away. You looked up into his eyes, and time seemed to freeze.
Without thinking, you stepped closer to him. “Legolas, I…”
Before you could finish your thought, he leaned down and gently pressed his lips against yours. The kiss was soft at first, hesitant, but it quickly deepened as you melted into him. It was everything you had dreamed about—the warmth of his body, the taste of the fresh air, and the spark of magic that seemed to flow between you.
When you finally pulled away, your heart raced, and a smile broke across your face. “Wow.”
He grinned, his eyes shining with happiness. “Wow, indeed.”
You laughed nervously, feeling giddy. “So, does this mean I have to decide sooner?”
Legolas chuckled softly. “Maybe it’s a sign. But whatever you choose, I will always cherish this moment with you.”
As the sun set behind the trees, you both stood there, hearts racing and smiles bright, knowing that whatever the future held, this connection would always remain. The world was full of uncertainties, but in that moment, it felt like everything was possible.
