A/N: Sorry for not posting during the week, but as I said previously I'm super busy and overwhelmed with school work. Thank you everyone that has been reading and I hope you continue to enjoy the story. This chapter is extra long to make up for the long wait (although don't expect that every Friday). Please enjoy, and remember to comment! <333333333

Keefe's eyes slowly opened, he was the only one unaffected by her inflicting. She could feel her powers flowing over and around him, not touching him like water rushing around a rock in a river. "Foster," He said weakly, "I'm okay."

He reached his hand up to her cheek, her anger began to fade, and tears dripped down her face. Keefe wiped them away, "Darling, I'm okay." His other hand finds hers, sending a cool breeze through her mind, the power of her inflicting ebbing away.

Her lips tilt up in a soft smile. She stared into his icy blue eyes remembering why he was the perfect man for her. He didn't condemn her for losing control, just like he didn't condemn her for being unmatchable. He told her to throw any doubts to the gorgodon and just let him love her. He fought off any person who thought they had the right to treat them differently because of their match status. He was the one who told her that life operates around love, it isn't based on conditions and status.

Someone groaned behind her, Fitz.

"Sophie, what was that? You're inflicting has never been that bad before."

She whirled around, "Maybe it's because you punched my hu–my best friend!" She yelled at him, the anger rushing back.

Everyone else in the distance was recovering and heading over to them. Fitz and Sophie stared in silence as they waited. Their friends got there first.

Dex spoke, "Dude, what happened?" He looked over at Keefe who was starting to sit up.

"Fitsy punched me," Keefe said as if he was nonchalantly asking someone to pass him some Mallowmelt.

"What!" Almost everyone exclaimed at the same time. They all followed with, "Why?"

Keefe shrugged, "He got mad, and took it out on me. Better me than Foster." Keefe smirked but Sophie could see the pain in his eyes. Fitz and Keefe used to be best friends, in the future they barely even acknowledge each other's existence. This moment in their circumstances is the end of that friendship, and while it was an old wound, everything was coming back up.

Everyone was nodding their understanding. Fitz was known for his anger, it wasn't a surprise. That just made Sophie angrier. He was just excused from what he did because it was normal for him. She started to stand up and fight for Keefe, but he held her wrist, making her pause her movements.

The adults had caught up and their friends recounted what they had told them. Alden and Della walked over to Fitz and walked him over somewhere else. They hugged him before leaping away. Sophie wanted to growl in outrage.

"I should probably get going," Biana said, breaking the silence, "Fitz is going to be a mess all day and I don't want my parents worrying about where I am."

The rest of her group shared similar statements. The ones that had parents left with them and the others lept away by themselves. When everything was said and done, the only people there were Edaline and Grady.

"Honey, are you okay?" Edaline asked softly. She walked over toward Sophie, her hands grazed her face as if she were examining her for injuries.

"Yes, I'm fine. Keefe took the brunt of Fitz's anger," Sophie responded, turning back to him. She knelt down to him and helped him to his feet. He groaned softly and Sophie hid her wince at the sound of his pain.
