Skull is Jack from Transformers Prime.

Checkerface erased his memory as they were regrowing, upon personal request by the Cloud Arcobaleno. It was a deal: Do him this favor, and Skull would forgive him the years under the curse, of imprisonment and not participate in any acts of retribution as an Arcobaleno.

Skull, not wanting to grow faster than naturally, left them with a supplement of his flames to stabilize theirs. He didn't even get thanks for it, not that he'd expected to receive their grace NOW.
He got the necessary container to turn his flames into pills from Talbot in exchange for a short 'test' — "no, it doesn't involve gutting/ poisoning or putting you in harms way. Consider it a surface examination".

The clarification was highly appreciated.

(Talbot wanted a second container for himself, only later realising there were fine swirls of 🟠 mixed in the 🟣 flames. Skull's renown - though often disregarded as fiction - Immortality is his special ability, the same way as comrade boost, hyper intuition, visions, etc. is for any other Sky -plural 'Heavens' henceforth- he knows.
Xanxus' ability eclipses Vongola's HI, except where Tsuna's warns him of imminent danger, Xanxus' senses the danger from the get-go. Hence why he was always wary of Nono even when he didn't want to be afraid of his not-father.)

So Skull sets out as an orphaned child around the age of 3 without his memory, name, any contact or address of residence. All he's got is the clothes on his back (besides the fact their all in black as though he just came from a funeral they were pretty Standart) and a faux pacifier, eventually landing in a hospital in the middle of buck nowhere, when a bypassing car (Bumblebee with his holoform) sees the starving child on the roadside wandering aimlessly.
He lands in a Hospital, and a kind nurse going by the name of June, without a child to call her own, takes the young boy in. She's in her early thirties, of average height with spanish-american heritage, black hair and blue eyes.

As the child doesn't know his name, she names him Jackson Darby - Jack for short. Her husband wasn't all too enthused about the brat: he was loud, wanting constant attention, and getting into trouble as well as ran off on him a lot. He got on his nerves until it escalated and he hit the boy with a slap to the face and growled command to be quiet like the dead. Jack was silent, tears streaming down his face, frozen to the ground and in pain. A soundless wail escapes him and he blanks out.
June came home that evening to an injured, passed-out child lying on the kitchen floor and her husband gone with neither a note nor message.

Jack is silent, but the evidence points to violence against a minor. She is immensely guilty about not acting against her husband's anger. He hadn't wanted a child, and he wasn't a very patient man, but she'd held hope that he and Jack could get along eventually.

Alas, it wasn't so, and her husband walked out on them after committing a crime without excuse to either of them. Heart heavy with guilt but strengthened in determination to do right by Jack, she filed a divorce and it was approved a year later. Jack was still unnaturally quiet after the incident, until he got a stuffed purple octopus as a gift for starting school. His kindergarten teacher had mentioned his interest -dare he call it love?- with a picture book on aquamarine animals.

Jack took it with him wherever he went around the house, in his backpack for school or shopping until eventually the octopus stayed home. It has since remained as his favorite toy, even smelled more like Jack than the laundry detergent.

Eventually, Jack forgot the incident and picked up housework and, when he started highschool, got a job at a local drive-through.

Neither June nor Jack knew of the events that would follow.
