Y/H/C means your hair color.

You were hanging out with your friend Alex on a particularly hot day during July. You had both changed into your swimsuits to relax in your large in ground pool, but had gotten out after just a half hour. You had wiped through your large supply of Peace Teas, and decided to go out to buy some more at the gas station down the street. You put on some jean shorts over your swimsuit bottoms (only because you were too lazy) and head out.

"Why is it so fucking hot?" Alex asked to no one in particular. "Literally, I think I'm baking."

"That's called a tan," you said sarcastically. "That's what happens when you go outside."

"Oh shut it. Hey, is that Johnnie and Kyle?" She pointed across the street to two boys of your age, both wearing Ghost Town tees and black skinny jeans. They were indeed Johnnie and Kyle, Alex's boyfriend and your crush. They were both cute, that you could admit, but there was something about Kyle that made your heart flutter. You suddenly felt self-conscious of your stomach being uncovered and your legs being completely exposed.

"Johnnie! Kyle!" Alex exclaimed, waving to the two awkward teens. They both smiled and waved back, crossing the road and walking over to you.

"Hey, Alex," Johnnie said with a smile, wrapping his arms around Alex and kissing her. You faked a gag, causing Kyle to laugh. His laugh was just so adorable, you couldn't help but blush. Johnnie and Alex stopped sucking face and looked at you, Johnnie with a smile, Alex with a glare, and both of them blushing.

"Hi, Y/N," Kyle said to you awkwardly. "What's up?"

"Uh, nothing much," you answered, mentally face palming yourself. "We were just going to go buy some more Peace Tea."

"That's cool," Johnnie said. "We were just walking around. We got bored playing video games at my house."

"You guys can come over to my house if you want. I've got a pool after all." You mentally high fived yourself. You sounded both casually and like you just thought of it, when in all reality you were just hoping they would accept. Kyle without a shirt on...

"Sure," Kyle said with a smile. "We have to go change first."

"We'll meet you down at the gas station in ten, okay?" Johnnie asked, mostly in the direction of Alex. She smiled at him and nodded, connecting their lips one more time before Johnnie and Kyle left. You looked at Alex with a smirk and she blushed at you, a smile tugging at her lips. You continued on to the gas station, making it there in about five minutes. You gathered as many Peace Teas as you could carry (which was about seven each) and got in line at the counter. There were a few boys around your age standing behind you in line, and you could hear them whispering about you behind your back.

"Dude, the one with the Y/H/C hair has a really nice ass," one of them whispered. You could feel the blush on your cheeks.

"The one with the red hair is really hot though bro," the other one said. The first one cleared his throat, tapping you on the shoulder. You turned around with your head held high and looked at him with a gaze so sharp it could cut glass.

"Can I help you?" you snapped at him.

"I was just wondering; did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" he asked, the cliché pick up line making you roll your eyes.

"No, but it stung like a bitch when I crawled out of hell. Is that it?"

"Wanna go catch a bite eat once we get out of here?" he asked, trying to get you to give in.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because you seem like a douche."
