Two days later

Walking into the throne room I look at the kings confused "Evangeline, our wives wish to travel for a while and see what has changed in the human world again you will be traveling with them as their protector".

Nodding I bow before walking away heading to my room, stepping in I frown seeing Jane and Alec packing my bag "what are you doing?" I ask.

Jane hums holding one of my masks up "trying to decide what mask you need" she answers grabbing another.

"I'll wear my robes"

"Obviously, but what about when the Queens go shopping like anyways or do something involving being around humans, you need to have a mask that won't cause suspicion"

"Who's joining you with this?" Alec asks.

"I didn't ask" I answer seeing Jane pack some of my different face covering fabrics.

Alec grabs it as Jane pulls me out heading to the Queens Tower, getting let in I hear the Queens talking and see two others holding bags.

"Evangeline" Athenodora calls smiling at me.

Tilting my head down in greeting I stiffen slightly at feeling arms around me "Hello mother" I greet.

"You will be my guard while we travel" she adds.

I nod watching as she steps back and greets the twins "now you two don't worry about her and call if you want" she says to them.

They nod as I take my bag from Alec while ignoring Chelsea and Renata.

Didyme smiles before leading us out as we take position to cover their sides and back, I've never been put on protection for their travels because I hate leaving the castle normally Jane or Corin take this job.

Hearing the women laugh happily I glance back before my phone goes off, pulling it out I frown at the message from Jane saying Try to relax and enjoy yourself.

"Mother where are we going first?" I ask confused as we pull up to the private jet.

"Las Vegas" she answers happily.

"What could you learn from there?"

"Many things but we are going for a girl's trip to have fun"

Looking at her I know if I was alive I'd be pale and possibly pass out, they can't be serious about that.

Stepping in the plane and take off till eventually I freeze seeing Chelsea changing with the Queens and Renata before starting make up.

"Come here Evangeline, you need to get ready" Didyme says holding her hand out.

"I'm fine in my robes" I squeak backing away from them as all of them turn to look at me smirking.

"We could order you, we are still the queens" Sulpicia says with a pout.

"But my face" I whisper motioning to the other guards since they haven't seen my face.

"We have known you for years and while we may not be close we do know you very well" Chelsea says stepping closer to me.

Backing up I bump into the wall and tense as the Athenodora and Didyme grab me and Sulpicia takes my bag.

Arrival in Las Vegas

Glancing around I shiver reaching out to pull my cloak over my head only to not feel it "oh God" I mutter ducking my head down.

"Calm down, your face is covered" Chelsea says softly.

Glaring at her Athenodora links our arms pulling me with her stopping me from attacking Chelsea "this is good for you dear, now let's go check into our hotel room".

A few hours later

Standing by Athenodora I frown watching her throwing dice, when she gets them back I tense as she holds them up to my face "come on" she teases.

"What?" I ask confused.

"Touch them or blow on them" she says.

Frowning I lean closer lifting my fabric to uncover my mouth then blow before Athenodora tosses them again.

Covering my face again I frown hearing the humans cheer but glance around feeling someone watching.

Unknown pov

Looking at the woman hiding her face I frown watching her interactions with the woman gambling.

She lifts her mask and blows on the dice and I see the others look shocked or horrified, looking at her I frown more she's clearly beautiful what was so horrible.

Seeing her turn I look down at the cards on my tabel before dealing to the people playing.

Once my break comes I sigh stepping outside pulling my phone out seeing multiple missed calls and text.

Before I can put it away my phone lights up again and I sigh answering it.

"What?"

"About time you answered"

Frowning I pull my phone away from my ear and look at it before putting it back missing whatever my sister said.

"Well?" She demands.

"Well what?" I wasn't listening" I snark.

"Come down here and help me" she orders.

Laughing slightly I hum "so I'm supposed to leave my job and run back because you demand it, I'll pass, call your Mommy to go help you because your not my problem" I answer before hanging up.

Hearing the door open I look up seeing the woman covering her face come out and lean on the wall "you good?" I ask.

She looks away from me and rushes out before the woman she was with and a few others come out call out Evangeline.

Humming I tilt my head "Evangeline" I mutter before smiling slightly "pretty name" I finally say.
