"The upcoming test is going to take 40% of your final exam's grade, I hope you all do great, it's your final year and you should pay more attention. So, if anyone wants to get extra grades, Shakespeare..." I had my eyes half closed, my head resting on my palm. It was hard to keep my eyes opened in four hours of English straight! These hours had been all about Shakespeare, and our upcoming project that was to rewrite Romeo and Juliet... That was going to be hella story! We had to keep 50% of it's originality, but the rest from our own.

I think I might mix some war in it, I still haven't decided yet.

The bell rang dismissing us, finally, and my heart jumped a little. Something felt really wrong! I drove to my apartment, and an hour later I welcomed Jacob, and we sat eating our lunch and talking about the day. Jacob and I have a really tight relationship, it's like he knows how hard my life with the absence of his father, and he has the best behavior ever, which helped me raise him into a good kid! He was really supportive.

"Hey Christi!" I greeted trough the phone.

"What's up? Are you busy?" She asked.

"No not at all, I'm willing to do the dishes, then help Jacob with his assignments, why?"

"I really feel like there's something wrong, can I come over?" Her voice was laced with worry.

"Yeah sure, I'll call Derek, maybe he will join us and we hang out or something." I smiled.

"Want Chris to come?" She giggled.

I growled, "fine, you guys are impossible to be separated! Maybe his presence will spice up the evening,"

"As long as it doesn't go too far, like the last time," we laughed remembering.

"Hope so, anyway I will see you soon."

"Okay, bye," the line went dead.

I helped Jacob in his homework, and as soon as we finished, my friends arrived. I greeted all of them, including Christi's twin brother, Chris. You see, we don't really get along. He teases me all the time, and he's completely annoying! Last time his teasing went too far that I slapped him, he almost punched me but Derek got in the way.

Derek and I had been best friends since 6th grade. He was the most amazing person ever! I kind of like him, but I would never have a shot with him. I know him enough to know that I'm not his type... Of course, I'm a mother, who would have such as a type?

"Oh! Return to the channel before! There's The Note Book!" Christi tried taking the remote from Derek as we switched through the channels.

"No way in hell! It's too girly!" Derek replied pushing here.

"It's nice!" She protested.

"No! Don't put it!" I yelled, throwing popcorn at Christi.

We started arguing, Christi wanted to watch The Notebook, Chris chose to watch Paranormal Activity 3, and Derek wanted to watch The Hunger Games. We were yelling and throwing food at each other, which brought me back to when we were teenagers, we never agreed on anything! Always arguing!

"We apologize to interrupt your show," suddenly the movie changed into the news, dragging all of our noise into a halt. "We just received some urgent news, we had been informed that there was an outbreak in the local hospital, a disease broke down infecting many patients, causing them to be mad and attacking anyone they see, the disease isn't detected yet, and we don't know what are the causes and effects of this, but everyone should stay indoors, be guarded and don't let any strangers in your houses," they switched into showing some of the chaos that happened, people were attacking others, biting and killing them, some people were shooting a group of obviously sick people, some were falling dead on the ground, but others kept walking towards them, more horrible images were displayed. But there was one that set our blood cold in our veins... There was a person walking slowly and limping across one hall of the hospital, but then he noticed the camera and launched towards it, he attacked the person holding the camera, and it fell making the image go into a blur, then the reporter continued, now looking horrified, "please be careful of anyone, we advise you to have any kind of weapon with you so you could protect yourselves, and again, don't open the door to anyone, we got informed that half of the ill patients have escaped the hospital! Stay indoors. We hope we can contaminate this disease before anyone gets infected. Best of luck," the reporter finished, and the television switched back to the movie.

No one moved a muscle.
