Nari shivered at his dark chuckle, quickly breaking eye contact. Her gaze fell on his tailored suit, exuding danger as effortlessly as his smirk exuded temptation.

Why did it make her feel like this?

Get a grip, Nari.

He's dangerous-the mansion, the bodyguards, the guns-it's obvious. Yet here I am, drawn to him like a moth to a flame.

Her spiraling thoughts were interrupted by his voice, smooth and deep. "Nari, right?"

"Y-Yes. How did you know?" Stupid question-of course, he knew. She was his captive.

He stepped closer, sending her pulse racing. "I'm Jeon Jungkook," he said calmly, though his eyes held something darker. "And you saw something you shouldn't have."

The weight of his words hit her. Last night... the shooting. That's why I'm here.

"Cat got your tongue, sweetheart?" His lazy smirk twisted something inside her.

"I won't tell anyone! Just... let me go, please?" she blurted, hating how desperate she sounded.

His smile didn't reach his eyes. "It's too late for that. You're mine now. You belong to me."

Her heart stopped. "W-What do you mean?" she stammered, voice trembling.

"I don't repeat myself," he said, savoring each word. "You. Belong. To. Me."

He sat down, commanding the room like a king. She bristled at his confidence.

"I don't belong to anyone!" she snapped, desperation mixing with defiance. "I told you, I won't say anything!"

He raised an eyebrow, amused. "You're in my world now, sweetheart. And in my world, I make the rules. Don't even think about leaving-you're not going anywhere without me."

She opened her mouth to protest, but he cut her off.
"No buts. Whether you like it or not, you're mine now."

His gaze flicked to the untouched plate of pancakes. "Why didn't you eat?"

"I... wasn't hungry," she lied, stomach betraying her with a growl.

Without another word, Jungkook walked to the door, locking it as he left.

She stood there, stunned. What the hell just happened?

"What does he think he is, some kind of celebrity? Like, 'Oh, Mr. Jungkook, can I get an autograph? You're so hot and scary, muah!' Please."

As I was about to roll my eyes for the millionth time, the door opened again-this time a maid entered, holding a tray with ramen and a cold drink.

"Ma'am, Mr. Jeon asked me to bring this to you. Please, he insists you eat."

Nari raised an eyebrow at the poor maid, who looked as though one wrong move could get her fired.

I was about to snap, but it wasn't the maid's fault. Why take my frustration out on her? I sighed, giving her a half-smile. "Tell Mr. Jeon that I'm perfectly fine, and I don't need babysitting."

The maid blinked, clearly unaccustomed to anyone talking about Jungkook like that. She quickly nodded and left the room with the untouched pancakes.

I sat down and stared at the ramen bowl and cold drink.
