Author's POV

Taehyung leaned back in his chair, his fingers absently tracing the outline of a scuff mark on the wooden armrest, his gaze lost somewhere far beyond the confines of his dimly lit office.

He had always been a man of careful planning, patient and deliberate, yet the emotions stirring within him now were sharper, more consuming than he'd felt in a long time.

Every thought, every calculation led to one person: Jungkook.

That arrogant king of his own empire who thought he was untouchable, the self-styled god ruling from his iron throne, untouched by the very chaos he created around him.

He smirked, the corners of his lips curving upward in a predatory manner, as if savoring the thought of the day Jungkook's illusion of invincibility would come crashing down.

"The so-called invincible Mafia king," Taehyung murmured to himself, his voice carrying a dangerous edge, "you're nothing more than a man hiding behind walls that you believe can never be breached. But I'll make sure those walls collapse."

His gaze shifted to the photographs scattered across his desk. Images of Jungkook's inner circle, his men, his luxurious mansion, the places he frequented. And there, in the center, was the face that had become the perfect pawn in Taehyung's plan---

Nari.

She was beautiful, of course, but he saw more than her beauty. She was the softest part of Jungkook's otherwise cold, hardened exterior. She was his weakness.

Taehyung reached out, lifting her photo between his fingers, studying her expression carefully. "Sorry, sweetheart," he whispered to the image, a cold, mocking smile playing on his lips, "you're about to be part of something bigger than you realize. And I know you won't like it, but what choice do you have?"

He dropped her photo back onto the desk, running a finger over it thoughtfully. The plan forming in his mind wasn't just about revenge; it was about reclaiming his own sense of power, his family's legacy that Jungkook had so casually destroyed. It had been years since his family's empire had been ripped apart, and Taehyung was the only one left to carry the weight of that shattered dynasty. He had spent those years learning, training, becoming the very weapon he'd need to rebuild what was taken from him. And now, he'd finally reached the point where he could execute his plan with precision.

"Jungkook," he murmured again, as if his enemy were sitting across from him, "you thought you could take everything from me and walk away without consequence. But now, I'll take everything from you, piece by piece. And I'll make sure you feel every inch of the pain I did." His eyes darkened, voice laced with a grim sense of satisfaction as he laid out his intentions aloud. "And Nari? She'll be the key to it all."

The strategy was already in place. Taehyung's first step had been to slip into her life unnoticed, playing the role of a harmless stranger who just happened to cross paths with her at seemingly random moments.

The mall, her old home, and now the club-he had been watching her reactions, studying the curiosity flickering in her eyes each time they met. She was growing suspicious, but that was exactly what he wanted. He wanted her mind to start questioning everything she thought she knew.

"Curiosity, Nari," he whispered, leaning back in his chair with a self-satisfied smile. "It's the oldest trick in the book. Once I have you questioning Jungkook's loyalty, his every word, his intentions, you'll start to see the cracks that I'm going to widen."

The real beauty of his plan lay in its subtlety. He didn't need to confront Jungkook outright-not yet. That would come later, when Jungkook was at his most vulnerable. For now, he'd let doubt work its way into Nari's mind, let her begin to chip away at the trust she held for the man she loved. She'd question his possessive nature, start to feel suffocated by his relentless control, and in her desperation for answers, she'd come to him----
