The silence that followed Yoona's departure hung heavy in the library. J-Hope paced near the window, his usual carefree demeanor replaced by a simmering frustration. He clenched and unclenched his fists, his thoughts a storm of anger and helplessness.

Min-ah, never one to sit idle, dropped into a chair with a dramatic huff. "That man gives me the creeps," she said, crossing her arms. Her tone was sharp, but her eyes betrayed a flicker of worry.

"He's dangerous," Namjoon murmured, his voice quiet but firm. His analytical gaze shifted between his friends. "We need to be careful. Yoona's father isn't someone you can just challenge openly. He holds too much power."

Min-ah shot up from her seat, her fiery spirit blazing. "I don't care how powerful he is! Did you see how scared she looked? I'm not going to stand by and let him treat her like-"

"Min-ah," Namjoon interrupted, his calm tone cutting through her outburst. "We'll help her. But we can't rush into this without a plan."

J-Hope stopped pacing, turning to face them. His jaw was set, his eyes unusually intense. "I don't trust him. And I don't think Yoona's safe with him."

Min-ah nodded vigorously. "Exactly! Which is why we need to do something now. We can't wait for some perfect plan while she's stuck with him."

Namjoon sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "We'll figure something out. But for now, we need to focus on gathering information. We can't protect her if we don't know what we're up against."

Min-ah groaned but didn't argue further. She flopped back into the chair, tapping her foot impatiently.

A Chilling Discovery

As the three of them debated their next move, a faint sound echoed from somewhere in the mansion. It was soft at first, almost imperceptible, but it grew louder-a steady, rhythmic tapping that sent a chill down their spines.

J-Hope was the first to notice. "Did you hear that?" he asked, his voice low.

Min-ah froze, her fiery confidence faltering. "What is that?"

Namjoon's eyes narrowed, his sharp mind already analyzing the sound. "It's coming from below us," he said, his voice steady despite the unease that crept into the room.

Without waiting for a consensus, J-Hope moved toward the staircase they had discovered earlier. "Stay here if you're scared," he said, his tone challenging as he glanced back at Min-ah and Namjoon.

Min-ah scoffed, quickly following him. "As if I'd let you go alone!"

Namjoon sighed but joined them, his logical mind knowing they wouldn't back down. "Fine. But be quiet. We don't know what-or who-is down there."

The three of them descended the hidden staircase, the air growing colder with each step. The tapping sound grew louder, echoing off the stone walls.

They reached the bottom, finding themselves in a dimly lit corridor lined with old wooden doors. The tapping had stopped, leaving an eerie silence in its wake.

"Which way?" Min-ah whispered, her voice uncharacteristically subdued.

J-Hope pointed toward the nearest door, his instincts guiding him. "There."

Namjoon hesitated. "We should be careful. If someone catches us-"

"Then we'll deal with it," J-Hope interrupted, his determination unshaken.

With a deep breath, he pushed the door open.
