The girl sat at the edge of the table, her pink card clutched tightly in one hand while the other drummed impatiently on the wood. Her cheeks were still puffed in frustration, and she stared daggers at the door, hoping the oversized idiot would magically reappear so she could give him a piece of her mind.

Before she could fully calm herself, the door creaked open, and the boy strolled back in as if he hadn't just been the target of her fury. His hands were stuffed in his pockets, his smirk firmly in place, and his black card twirled lazily between his fingers.

"What are you doing back here?" she snapped, crossing her arms. "Didn't you have somewhere to be, Mr. Oversized Idiot?"

He leaned casually against the doorframe, ignoring her jab. "Forgot something."

Her brows furrowed. "What could you possibly have forgotten? You already took my card, embarrassed me, and laughed in my face. What's left? My sanity?"

He laughed, a soft chuckle that only made her angrier. "I forgot to give you this," he said, holding out her black card.

Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Why would I want that back? Yours is boring and plain."

"Exactly," he said with a shrug. "Which is why I'm keeping your pink one."

Her jaw dropped. "WHAT?! You can't just decide that!"

"Oh, but I can." He stepped closer, waving the pink card tauntingly in front of her. "I think it suits me better, don't you? Adds a little flair to my style."

"Flair? You?!" she exclaimed, hopping off the table and snatching at the card. "Give it back!"

He dodged her easily, sidestepping with practiced ease. "Ah-ah, is that how you ask nicely? I expected better manners from you."

She glared at him, fists clenched at her sides. "You're the worst!"

"And you're adorable when you're angry," he replied smoothly, twirling the pink card just out of her reach.

Her cheeks burned at his words, but she refused to back down. With a sudden burst of determination, she lunged for him again. This time, he let her get close enough to think she had a chance before holding the card high above her head.

"Too slow," he teased, looking down at her as she jumped and flailed.

"You're an evil, oversized idiot!" she yelled, stomping on his foot.

"Ow!" he yelped, hopping back but still holding the card out of reach. "That's not fair!"

"Neither is stealing my card!"

He grinned, despite the pain. "Fine. I'll make you a deal."

She crossed her arms, glaring up at him. "What kind of deal?"

"I'll give you your card back... if you admit that I'm your favorite person."

Her eyes widened in outrage. "Never!"

"Suit yourself," he said, pocketing the pink card. "Guess it's mine forever now."

She stared at him, her mouth opening and closing as she tried to think of a retort. Finally, she huffed and stomped toward the door, muttering under her breath, "Stupid, oversized idiot..."

Behind her, he laughed again, calling out as she left, "You know you'll miss me!"

Her answer came in the form of the door slamming shut, but the faint smile tugging at her lips said otherwise.
