Chapter 036:
"This looks like Elsa's Ice Palace." I muttered as we walked around the new fortress, which was made of ice.
"I bet you're inner seven year old is screaming right now." Jon smiled as he nudged me, and I rolled my eyes.
"Ha ha, keep walking." I watched as Dad grabbed the blue crystal, which was floating in the middle of the room. He put it into a hole in the ice, and it made a loud buzzing noise. Slowly, a holographic image of a woman appeared. She had dark black robes on, and a silver 'S' logo in the middle, like Dad's.
"A new fortress." She smiled as she looked around.
"I thought it was time to make one available to the whole family." Dad turned to look at all of us.
"Lois, Jordan, Katie, and Jonathan." Dad wrapped an arm around me and Jon. The woman smiled.
"Guys, this is your Grandma." I felt a smile creeping up my face as my Grandma smiled back at me.

I watched as Jordy's face crinkled up in disgust as me and Jon smiled.
"Please tell me you're hearing that." I laughed, but didn't answer Jordy's question. The truth was, I couldn't hear anything. I could smell anything, I couldn't lift anything that was as heavy as a car, and no heat vision. And, no visions, though, I think that might've been a one time thing. Ever since Ally had drained my powers for the last time, I didn't... have powers anymore. Of course I didn't tell anyone, not even Joe.
"So, no practice?" Jordy shook his head and Jon laughed. I smiled as Krypto joined me and Jon on the couch, and wagged his tail as he sat on my lap.
"Katie, your ride's here." I gave Jordy a weird look. Jordy gave me a look back and pointed to his ear.
"Joe's here. Can't you hear the car?" My eyes widened.
"Oh yeah, car noises. Uh, I'll see you guys later." I handed Krypto to Jon, grabbed my shoes, and ran out the door. I smiled as Joe beeped the horn.
"Hey." He grinned as I placed a kiss on his cheek. The Kent brothers watched as their sister drove off with her boyfriend, and gave each other weird looks.
"She didn't even hear you call them out for kissing." Jon told Jordan as his brother nodded.
"She didn't hear Mom yesterday when she called her down for dinner, remember? Mom actually had to go upstairs and get her." Jon nodded in agreement. Something was wrong with Katie.
