Pluto's been acting shifty all morning and I'm trying to figure out what he has up his sleeve. Him waking up before me wasn't unusual but leaving me in the bed to sleep definitely was. I grabbed my robe and made my way downstairs to look for him, smelling food but not seeing food in the kitchen. I walked outside to the backyard and there he was, on the grill.
"What are you doing?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Cooking. Good morning."
"Pluto, you don't cook."
"I felt like it today," he chuckled as I walked over by the grill.
"And why are you making so much food? What is going on?"
"Bae, go back in the house before you smell like propane."
I scoffed, rolling my eyes before walking back inside. I got back in the bed, grabbing my phone to Facetime Tiff.
"Uh uh, it's too early for you to be calling me," she answered still in bed.
"Girl, it's 10:30. Get yo ass up," I laughed.
"I'm self employed, I don't care about time. How was the move?"
"It was smooth. I finally got everything set up for when you come and stay over."
"That's good. I can't believe you got 3 rooms in that house. You must be putting it on him."
"Can you stop?" I laughed. "I think he planning a party or something today. He been moving weird all morning."
"It might be a housewarming party. You really need to start being more positive."
"Girl, he is downstairs grilling."
"Hold on, Pluto know how to cook? Why the fuck y'all never eat at home?"
"Focus, Tiffany. If it was a housewarming, don't you think you would've been invited?"
"If I didn't get invited Ima whoop his ass next time I see him. Maybe he just felt like being a househusband today. Girl, I don't know."
Pluto walked into the room, leaning over the bed to give me a kiss.
"Hey, Tiff."
"Pluto, please tell this girl what's going on cause she stressing me out."
"Tiffany!" I scolded her.
"Text me when you find out, my sister calling me. Love you, bye!" she said before hanging up.
"You gotta stop worrying, Liyah," Pluto said walking into the bathroom to take a shower.
"It's not worry, it's wonder. I'm wondering what the hell you doing."
"I'm just having a few people over. Nothing major."
"That's all you had to say. What time they coming?"
"They should be on the way. Get dressed."
I got up, brushed my teeth and did my skincare routine as he was stepping out of the shower.
"Who coming over so I know how to dress?"
"I already picked it out. It's in the closet," he said putting his shirt on.
He grabbed his phone and headed back downstairs before I could say anything else. I rolled my eyes, going into the closet and putting on the maxi dress he laid out for me. I brushed my hair, putting it into a claw clip before heading downstairs behind him.
"Yeah you can just park by Liyah. I'm coming," he said rushing past me, hanging up the phone. "You look good, baby."
"Thank you. They here?" I asked trying to see out of the front window.
