I left Liyah and Londyn upstairs to have movie night while I sat downstairs to watch the game before my mama called.
"Hey, Ma. Everything good?"
"Yes, the boys are winding down. How's Londyn?"
"Upstairs watching movies with Liyah."
"I really like her Nayvadius. She's so good with the kids and Londyn loves her already."
"Yeah, I'm glad I decided to do this today."
"I want you to do right by her. Don't make the same mistakes you've been making."
"I know, Mama. She different."
"She's a good woman and I can tell she loves Nayvadius, not just Pluto."
"I love her too."
"It may be too soon for me to be thinking like this but you need to marry her."
"I'm working on it, Ma. Trust me. She the one. It's just not the right time yet."
"You know that baby not yours. Even if by some evil chance it is, I don't see her leaving. Don't be afraid to commit to her when you feel it's time."
"I hear you, Ma."
"Alright, well I hear that TV in the background so I know you watching them Dawgs. I'll see y'all in the morning."
"Alright, Mama. Love you."
"Love you too, son," she said hanging up the phone.
My mama never felt this strongly about any of my baby mamas so I know she serious about Liyah. We haven't known each other a full year yet and only been together for 6 months but I know I wanna make her my wife. Seeing her with my kids today just further let me know she was the one for me. After watching UGA win, I went upstairs to check on my girls. I opened the door to Londyn's room seeing her and Liyah fast asleep in her princess bed. I swear If I had a ring in my pocket, I would propose right now. I thought about waking Liyah up to come get in the bed with me but just closed the door and made my way down the hall, calling it a night.
Music playing downstairs woke me up the next morning. I got myself together, heading downstairs to see what all the commotion was. Liyah and Londyn were in the kitchen making pancakes when I walked in.
"Hey, Daddy," Londyn said, running to give me a hug. I picked her up and walked over to Liyah.
"Hey, Daddy," she smiled, mocking Londyn before giving me a kiss. "You think your mom and the boys eating after church?"
"Not sure, they should be on the way right now so I'll shoot her a text."
Ma
Wya
On the way to u. Need something?
No. Liyah cooked. Just wanted u to know
She arrived shortly after and we all had breakfast together. I watched some of the Falcons game with my sons while Liyah showed my mama the guest room she put together. After a while it was time for them to leave and I could tell Londyn didn't wanna leave her new friend but Liyah promised they would see each other all the time now. We stood in front of the house watching them leave before going back inside. We cuddled on the couch to watch her "favorite" team play.
"Touchdown!" Liyah yelled, jumping off the couch and dancing.
"You picked the wrong birds to root for, baby."
"My Eagles are better than your sorry ass Falcons," she laughed, sitting back down.
"You don't even like the team. You just like one player."
"You sound jealous."
"Never that," I laughed, pulling her to lay on my lap. "Thank you for taking care of my baby last night."
"I thought I was your baby," she said raising her eyebrow.
"Don't start," I chuckled.
"You're welcome. I loved having her around. It's always just us, it felt good having her here."
"You don't like it being just us?"
"I do but this is a big house and it gets quiet a lot. It can feel a little ... empty sometimes."
"This is your house too. If you want people over, I'm cool with that."
"I know. It's just after the Taylor situation I have to be careful who I allow into my circle."
"I'm not fucking nobody but you."
"Oh I'm not worried about you. It's everybody else. With our relationship being so high profile I feel like it'll be harder to know who to trust."
"You'll get out of that. It was hard for me too at first but you'll find people."
"I hope so. For now it'll just have to be me and Tiff."
"When is she supposed to be coming anyway?"
"Tomorrow. You'll be working and I don't wanna be by myself."
"I'll cut my session short so I can be here."
"You don't have to do that. I'll be fine."
"You don't sound fine."
"I'm okay, I promise," she smiled but I could tell it was fake.
I noticed she had been kinda down the past few days but she would always lie and say she was fine or okay.
"Come on, let's go to bed."
"You think you slick," she said sitting up.
"Liyah if I wanted sex we could do it right here."
"Not that," she laughed. "You don't want me to watch my man play."
"Bring yo ass upstairs," I laughed, throwing her over my shoulder and carrying her to the bedroom.
