"Okay, it's time to say goodbye," Tiff sang looking at her watch as it was almost midnight, reminding them that it would soon be bad luck for them to see each other before the wedding.
"I'm not ready to leave," Liyah whined, holding on to Pluto's arm.
"Liyah, you will see him at the wedding tomorrow," Rachelle laughed, gently pulling her arm to break her away from him.
"Okay, fine," she gave in, letting him go. "Can we just have a moment alone? I promise I'll be out in a minute."
The entire bridal party all raised their eyebrow at her, not trusting that she wouldn't take forever but also not wanting to upset her by ending the moment. They walked out the front door, leaving the lovers alone.
"You ready?" Pluto smiled, grabbing both of her hands in his.
"My anxiety is through the roof. Anything can happen between now and the wedding. What if you change your mind? What if one of us dies?!"
"Baby," he laughed, pulling her in for a hug. "Stop worrying. Nothing is going to happen between now and tomorrow. Just meet me at the altar in your white dress."
"We ain't getting no younger," she smiled, finishing the lyrics. "Tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow," he smiled, leaning down to give her a kiss. "And don't be doing too much at that bachelorette party cause I'll pull up."
"I need to be telling you that," she chuckled. "If anything happens tonight, just don't let me find out."
"Not even on that type of timing, shawty. Just passing time until I get to you."
The horn began honking outside, interrupting the kiss they were about to share.
"I love you, Aaliyah. On my mama, my kids, my life."
"Likewise," she smiled, slowly breaking away from him before heading towards the door.
