"Get the fuck out of my grandmother's house," Chelle said very menacingly.
"Chelle," I reasoned with her, honestly wanting to know what she possibly had to say after the stunt she pulled two weeks ago.
"Aaliyah, no. If your dad were still here you wouldn't even be hearing from this weird ass bitch," she said, giving a threatening look to Tiffany.
"Let that be your last time calling me out of my name," Tiffany warned her moving closer.
"Everybody shut the fuck up," Pluto raised his voice, making my jump in my seat.
His demeanor was usually so calm it never failed to catch me off guard when he spoke loudly. He noticed me jump, reaching to grab my hand.
"We just buried her dad, she's 7 months pregnant, we've probably slept 13 hours in the past 3 days. Chelle, I love you but this situation is between Liyah and Tiff and you getting involved did nothing but make shit worse. Tiff, you asked me to get her to talk to you and fucked it up. Then you double down and fuck up again not even 12 hours later. She's made it clear that she no longer wishes to continue a friendship with you, respect her wishes."
It got quiet as everyone sat with his words, realizing this wasn't the best time for drama. I sat rubbing my stomach, waiting for someone to do anything to break the awkward silence.
"Liyah," Tiffany pleaded softly.
"I don't trust you, Tiffany," I responded, keeping my eyes on my stomach. "You've shown me too many times you aren't a good person."
"I'm sorry about the Instagram post, I was angry. You know that," she said beginning to cry.
"And once again, it's all about you. No regards for my feelings, my husband's feelings, our image, not even Taylor. You did all that to get one up on me and you still lost," I said, finally looking at her. "I hope it was worth it."
A tear ran down her face as she realized I was over our friendship and there was no coming back from her betrayal. I felt that she wanted to say more but decided against it.
"I'm still here for you if you ever need me," she said in a low voice.
"I'll try my absolute best not to."
As soon as the words left my lips, I knew they stung. A best friend break up is the worst separation you could ever go through in life. We knew all of each other's secrets, shared so many memories together, but just knowing the type of person she could be when it was mad day was enough for me to know we would never be the same even if we did manage to work through things. She simply nodded, turning on her heel and walking out of the door.
"You okay?" Pluto asked.
"No, but I have to keep going."
A moment of silence passed between us before I broke the silence to change the subject.
"So, what am I having?" I smiled, looking at Chelle.
