"How you feeling, mama?" Pluto asked, rubbing baby oil gel on my bump after my shower.

"This isn't going to go the way you think, Nayvadius," I responded softly.

"She's your best friend and you haven't talked to her in months."

"That's not my fault. She should've thought about that."

"Liyah, you have to be the bigger person if you want to fix this."

"I don't want to fix this. The only reason I even agreed to this sit down is because you asked. Once she pulled that stunt at the wedding and I asked her to leave, that was the end of our friendship."

The doorbell rang downstairs, signaling us that Tiffany was here. I rolled my eyes, not looking forward to the conversation we were about to have. Pluto helped me finish putting on my Skims maternity catsuit before we headed downstairs.

"Just hear her out and be nice," he said softly, walking towards the door to open it.

"Hey, y'all," she said nervously as she walked in.

"Hey, Tiff," Pluto spoke up after a short silence. "How you been?"

"I've been worse," she chuckled before looking over at me. "Hey, Liyah."

"Hey," I said dryly, placing my hand on my stomach before walking over to the couch.

"I'll give y'all some privacy," Pluto said, noticing the tension in the air and wanting no parts of it.

He started walking towards the kitchen as Tiff sat on the other end of the couch.

"You look great," she smiled. "When's the baby due?"

"Why are you here, Tiffany? What do you want?" I said nonchalantly, ignoring her question before sitting back on the couch.

"I haven't heard from you since the wedding."

"I know."

"I wanted to apologize for my actions."

"Okay. Apology not accepted."

"Aaliyah," she pleaded.

"Aaliyah my ass. You ruined my reception, Tiffany. I don't care if you were drunk or not, you were wrong."

"Rachelle threw a drink on me but I ruined the reception?"

"Yes because you started it. Honestly, you ruined the entire day for me. If it hadn't been for the fact that the ceremony was in an hour I would've pulled you from the party."

"Aaliyah, be for real. You were doing a lot."

"I was having an anxiety attack because I was nervous and you tried to make that moment about you. You tried to make the biggest day of MY LIFE about you."

"About me? Do you even hear how you sound right now?"

"I sound fed the fuck up because I am. You always try to steal the spotlight from me and make literally everything about you. It's like you hate when something good happens for me."

"Girl if it wasn't for me you wouldn't be where you are right now. I convinced you to move to Atlanta, I put you on with influencing, you wouldn't even be married right now if it wasn't for me."

"Are you hearing yourself?" I chuckled with disgust. "You didn't do anything for me. Even if I didn't move here, I would've moved to LA. You gave me tips regarding influencing but doing makeup and the exposure from my relationship with Pluto is what got me deals, not you."

"Who convinced you to stay with him? I literally went to jail trying to save your relationship."

"I didn't ask for you to go out and catch an assault charge. YOU decided to do that because you wanted attention."

"I wanted attention for defending you?"

"Again, I didn't ask you to do that. That situation was between me and Taylor. It had nothing to do with you. You made it about you like you do everything else."

"I just find it funny how you didn't feel this way until you got that ring on your finger."

"Because it took all of this for me to see the person you really are. I let a lot slide with you out of love and simply for the fact that we've been best friends for over 10 years but that shit you pulled at the wedding was the last straw for me. I don't want someone like you in my life."

"Someone like me?" she scoffed. "I've always been there for you when you needed me no matter what was going on. I was ALWAYS a phone call away."

"You were my best friend, you were supposed to do that. You don't get brownie points for being a decent person."

"You're one to talk. When have you ever been there for me? As soon as you and Pluto got together our entire friendship changed. Everything was about you or him or you and him. You couldn't go 5 minutes without bringing him up or rubbing your perfect relationship in my face."

"So that's it? You ruined my wedding because you were jealous of my relationship?"

"I was happy for you. And I didn't ruin shit. You can blame your cousin for that. She always acted like she never liked me and the first chance she got she acted on it and you took her side."

"No she didn't like you but she tolerated you off the strength of me. And yes I took her side, she's my cousin and she was justified."

"She threw a drink on me behind a nigga. Nothing about that is justifiable."

"Tiffany everybody knew that her and Metro were messing with each other leading up to the wedding. You got drunk and started flirting with him heavy. She asked you twice to stop and you started talking crazy. What outcome did you expect?"

"Liyah, you know how I get when I'm drunk. I was just having fun. You kicking me out was extreme."

"Regardless of how you feel about it, it is what it is and I'm done with it."

Pluto came out of the kitchen after hearing us getting loud in the living room, leaning against the wall in the hallway and making sure things didn't escalate.

"So that's it? You don't wanna be my friend anymore behind your snooty ass cousin?"

"Watch your mouth."

"You know what? Y'all bitches are weird. This was a waste of my time."

"I agree. I don't even know why you came."

"Fuck you, Aaliyah."

"Whoa," Pluto said, running to grab me as I stood off the couch. "Not with my baby in you."

"Please, I'm not wasting my energy on her. I told you this wasn't a good idea, you saw it for yourself," I said walking towards the stairs, looking down at her on the way. "Get her out of my house. We're done here."
