Sophia's POV:
I moved quietly around Bronny's apartment, grabbing my clothes and toiletries and packing them into my overnight bag. The room felt too still, and my thoughts filled the silence. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened at the game. I had seen Bronny grab that fan by the shirt, anger written all over his face. It wasn't like him to lose control like that.
I paused for a moment. "What happened out there?" I muttered to myself. I felt the baby shift in my belly and placed my hand over it. "What was he thinking?"
Once everything was packed, I sat down on the couch, letting out a deep breath. My hand drifted back to my stomach, and I rubbed it gently. A small smile crept onto my face as I thought about our son.
"You're going to be such a strong little boy," I whispered. "Just like your daddy."
My phone buzzed on the coffee table, breaking my thoughts. I picked it up and saw a text from Bronny saying that he was outside. I stood up, grabbed my bag and headed out the door.

The night air was cool as I stepped outside and spotted the black SUV waiting by the curb. Bronny's chauffeur opened the door for me. I thanked him, and climbed in, setting my bag on the seat beside me. Bronny was already sitting there, his head leaning back against the seat, eyes closed. He looked tired—emotionally and physically drained.
"Hey," I said softly, placing a hand on his arm. He opened his eyes and gave me a small smile.
"You okay?" I asked, my voice gentle as I rubbed his arm.
"I'm fine," he said, though his voice didn't carry much conviction.
I didn't press him right away. Instead, I reached over, running my fingers through his braids. "What happened, Bronny? I saw... everything."
He sighed. "That fan..." He shook his head. "He just kept running his f*cking mouth, saying all kinds of stuff about me. About you. I tried to ignore him, but then he brought you up—called you some random name. I lost it, Soph. I shouldn't have, but I did."
My heart ached as I listened. I could see how much the whole thing was weighing on him.
