Dear Eloise,
This is a letter I never thought I'd write. Full of words that I never thought I'd say. But Elle, I have to break up with you.
After learning more about what my life will be like when I get to West Point and how limited my time will be while I'm there, I can't put you through that. You deserve so much more.
Ending things between us is the only way.
You have to know that this is killing me.
Elle, you are the brightest, most precious thing in my life. The way that I love you? It's the thing that people search for. Hope for. Fight for.
If only we were older. If only we had met later in life when college and time and distance weren't factors. Then I have to believe that we would never spend a single day apart. I have to believe that our kind of love would be enough. That the pull between us would be able to overcome anything that got in our path. Maybe one day, in the future...
Who am I kidding? I can't give Elle a letter like this.
Suck it up jack ass - Yeah, you. The least you can do is call her!
