"The league's new expansion team is finally here. How you think that finna work out?" Ja asked me.
We were in a random gym in Memphis just shooting around. I had finished my fourth year with the Grizzlies and was now a free agent. I've been thinking about resigning but I'm not so sure.
According to men with fragile masculinity, I should be in the WNBA. But because of what most call birth defects, I'm in the NBA. I was born with a dick, simple as that.
It's not a problem for me considering I have the height and strength of anyone else in this league. I'm 6'8 and lift 250 pounds.
Just for reference, at the NBA combine they test how many times a player can lift 185. At the NFL combine it's 225. So with that in mind, it's pretty crazy to think about.
"The team is in Vegas right?" I reply.
"Yeah. Las Vegas Royalty or something like that." He answered after dunking the ball.
"Sin City." I mumbled. "Sounds kinda fun. Vegas rakes in a ton a profit with all that gambling shit. Ain't the only teams they have the Raiders and Aces? They needed this."
"You sound like you wanna go." Ja said.
"Would it be so bad if I did? It would be like a fresh start. I think my time here in Memphis is done." I respond.
He stopped dribbling the ball, giving me a blank stare. "Nigga, you leaving me?"
"It ain't no hard feelings. We best friends for life my nigga. Memphis is just your territory. I need to create my own path. This is your organization." I say.
"This shit hurt, no lie. But I support you no matter what. Las Vegas might really do you some good." He said.
Damn so I guess that's it. My time here is over with. I'm kind of excited for this new chapter in life. But before I do anything, I have to talk to my agent.

The Next Day
I stepped foot into Rich Paul's office. I had taken a quick flight to L.A so I could have a talk with him about my next career move.
To my surprise LeBron was also in here, along with Steph Curry. Actually Steph is the only surprise here. Because what are you doing here?
