A'ja's P.O.V
I walked into the restaurant with my team. Ja was back in town so him and Ant decided to get everyone together and take Y/N out. With everything she's going through, I guess it's just a reminder that she has people in her corner.
This was all for Y/N and she wasn't even here yet. Not surprised. She never could be on time. We sat around, waiting for the life of the party to show up. In the meantime most of us ordered drinks.
"You sure you got this?" Chelsea whispered to me.
"I'm fine Chels. Why is everybody acting like I can't handle this? There's no bad blood between her and I." I respond.
About ten minutes later, Y/N had finally arrived. With Jackie by her side, as well as her sister. I took a big sip from my drink. I can't pretend like that doesn't bother me. I can't lie, I'm so fucked about this.
They walked in, hand in hand. Y/N looked how she always did. Very neutral. Jackie just seemed so happy. Like glowing, radiating happiness type shit.
Y/N looked around the table, seeing everyone. But once she seen me, it was like the everything changed. There was a different look in her eyes. She stopped holding Jackie's hand, as we shared a moment of intense eye contact.
They sat down next to each other, but as soon as they did that Ja stood up. I know this nigga ain't about to give a damn speech.
"First things first, I just wanna say to my best friend here. My right hand. I know things have been hard for you but that's why we here tonight. Life isn't always fair and it sucks at times. But you got people who care for you and people who love you." Ja started.
"I appreciate that but damn y'all acting like a nigga suicidal or something." Y/N said, making me chuckle.
"I wouldn't put it past you. You've been tweaking." Her sister spoke, making everyone laugh.
"Shut up Bri." Y/N said.
"And another thing." Ja said. "As soon as I leave Vegas, you know because of work and all, everything done changed. When the hell did this happen?"
He motioned between her and Jackie. I'm curious to know this myself. When exactly did this start happening?
"Messy." Syd mumbled.
"Says the messiest person of them all." Alysha replied.
"I don't know bro. It just happened." Y/N answered.
