A'ja's P.O.V

I arrived at my parent's house. Y/N being with me. She's assured me that she wasn't nervous and at first I didn't believe her. But she seriously looks unbothered.

The second round of the playoffs had came to an end. It was a very tough battle with the Liberty but you know we came out on top. Next up is the finals. That matchup is still going on so I'm unsure of who we're playing in finals.

I got to see Y/N in action on the court the other night. I've never seen anything like it. She's a different breed on that court.

As for the whole mess on social media, well it's exactly that. A mess. This whole Y/N and Jackie thing is outta control. I don't have any issues with them hanging out. I trust the both of them.

Dijonai has yet to reply to my tweets. Not that I expect her to reply. What did she possibly think was gonna happen by texting Y/N? You should've known she was gonna show me.

I walked into my parent's house, having a key. I held on to Y/N's hand, who still looked completely unfazed. I think I'm just nervous for her. I don't doubt my parents are going to like her but it's still nerve wrecking.

"I know that's not my baby." My mother said, as she was checking to see who just walked into her house.

"Hey, mom." I say, hugging her tightly. "Y/N, this is my mom, mom this is Y/N."

"Please call me Eva. It's so nice to finally meet you." My mom said, hugging Y/N.

I can tell she caught Y/N by surprise but nonetheless, Y/N hugged her back. A smile plastered across her face.

"Likewise. I've heard many good things about you." Y/N replied.

"You're cute and you smell good." My mom said, making Y/N blush.

"Thank you, Eva." Y/N said, way too flirty.

I put my hands up, stopping this interaction. "Oh  heck no. I'm telling dad."

The fuck they think this is? Don't be flirting in front of me. Matter fact, don't do that shit at all. It's good my mom likes her but don't be liking her too much.

"What you got to tell me?" My dad said, coming around the corner. I hugged him, excitedly.

"She ain't got nothing to say." My mom said, before I could say anything.

"You must be Y/N." My father said sternly, stepping up to her.

They stood at the same height. I got scared while I can see my mother shake her head. He's trying to intimidate Y/N. I should've known he was to do this. He's the exact reason why my relationship in high school ended.
