I grabbed my gym bag, getting ready to head to the Aces practice facility. Even though it's the off season, we still had a few scheduled practices. Just to keep us sharp and whatnot.
I've been seeing everything that's happening online. All of the weird shit going on surrounding Jackie and Y/N. You can't get shit past me. I knew they were fucking around with each other.
Your gut feeling never lies. But you know I'm not gonna stop anyone from doing what they wanna do. It's just weird on Jackie's part. Kelsey too.
Cause if Kelsey was real, she would've told Jackie that she's dead ass wrong. But no, all they do is hang out with each other all the time. Them and their 'boos'.
I walked into the locker room, immediately feeling the awkwardness. I don't know what for. My presence shouldn't change anything.
"Hey, A'ja." Kate said, being the first person to say something to me.
"Hi, Kate." I smiled.
Kate is like the best rookie anybody could've ever asked for. I'm so happy the Aces drafted her.
Jackie nor Kelsey said anything. Not like I even expected them to. I don't have anything to say to them.
"So Jackie, Kelsey, how have you been?" Chelsea said, trying to start up some conversation.
"Great." Jackie answered with a smile, Kelsey with the same answer.
I swear I wasn't even trying to come off as aggravated or anything. Even though that's exactly what I am. There's no way everyone is okay with this.
"You good, A?" Alysha asked me.
"I'm cool. Shit is just weird." I reply.
"You got something you want to say?" Jackie said, everyone looking around not expecting that from her.
I chuckled. "I do actually. You're weird as fuck and so are you."
"What the hell did I do?" Kelsey interfered.
"Y'all are supposed to be my best friends. Yet you're dating my ex and you just encouraging it. Seriously, Jacquelyn?" I snapped. "You were the first person I talked to about Y/N. You knew better than anyone how I felt about her and this is what you do."
