I sat back in the chair, looking off into nothing. First game, technically preseason, is today. I'm not too much worried about it. Preseason isn't meant to be taken seriously, hence why no one does so.
I was just staring at this message from Dijonai. I didn't even know what to say. I took a screenshot of it, deciding to send it to the group chat. I know they gon have something to say.

A'ja had came out the bathroom, fresh from being out the shower. She had an early team practice today but she would be at the game later.
"Are you good?" A'ja asked.
"Do I look good?" I respond.
"Oh you look good. Believe me." She chuckled. "But I'm saying you just look so zoned out."
I opened up Dijonai's text message, handing the phone to A'ja. She looked lost, I seen her scrunch her eyebrows in confusion.
"Y'all talked for like a week. What can she possibly miss?" A'ja questioned, handing me back my phone.
I lightly laughed, seeing that Dijonai's contact was now blocked. A'ja does not fuck off. Jackie warned me about this.
"I don't know. She could just want to start some shit." I say.
"I am not the one to start with." She replied, more serious than I've ever seen her.
You know, she's kinda scary. Like she intimidates me at times. I'm not scared for me. I'm scared of what she might do to other people.
Eventually she had to leave for practice. I sat around, not knowing what to do in the meantime. It's fair to say that I do be bored as hell when I'm not with her.
I ended up getting a call from Bob, the GM of the Royalty. I wasn't expecting that but I answered it, putting it on speaker.
